Pro: I met my husband online! Have been married for 3 years and have 2 kids. Con: Lots of weirdos. But I also met some weirdos through church so it isn't just online.

I met my boyfriend Steven online. I was his twenty-something date and he was my second date. He had been on the site much longer then I was. I have always tried to be as honest and as smart as possible while online. I would never meet anyone from the internet in a place where people weren't around. I asked a guy to meet me at my moms house before I met Steven and he refused. Although we both stated earlier on that we were looking for something serious, he said that meeting at my moms house was weird. I can understand that to an extent- not wanting to meet the parents until later on. I did tell this guy however that my mom wouldn't even be noticed. Just near by if anything is weird. He then gave me an idea for a location to meet up- a park outside of the small town I lived in. Red flag! I cut him off immediately. Could he have been a prince...maybe. But if a guy is not smart enough to understand and care about my concerns of meeting a stranger he isn't worth my time. Steven met me at my moms and we will be celebrating our five year anniversary in January.

My girlfriend and me have been dating online for about three weeks and have so much in common and only had one argument. Also guess what it was on a non Christian site, and it wasn't a dating website either it was a place to talk and make friends i just so happen to make a friend closer than anyone else. Non Christian websites aren't always the ones that you need to use, just find something that lets you talk about your hobbies or interests it works, and as long as you make sure its not a catfish, you can have your fun and freedom.
