I just applied to FAMU for grad school. My cousin went there for undergrad but got "kicked out" for financial aid issues. My family is trying everything in their power to convince me not to go to FAMU lol. I reside in NC, BUT i know as soon as I get accepted I'm emailing, calling, faxing financial aid everyday until they remember my name and I find a plug lol

Financial aid is definelty an hbcu problem that's why I literally go to pwi. I wish I could go to hbcu but I live in the dorms and have a negative balance (refund check) every year

i came to homecoming 2015!! It was litt i wanna go there so bad and i live in florida too, but im turning 22 this fall. Is that 2 old?? I might sign up for summer classes and what community complexs do you recommend staying in?

yes I love our homecoming so many people that dont even go to FAMU come just to come to our homecoming !! And NO you're never to old to go back to school, go ahead and attend and become that rattler !! I would say either find people you like enough to live with or get a 1/1 but mmm it just depends on where you want to stay honestly. I would recommend University Green, Villa San Michelle, Villa Del Largo, Aqua complexes, like i said it just depends on location and where you want to stay

its not that hard but you do have to meet certain requirements to be accepted, I would say apply and let God work his magic you never know you may be the next rattler!! mmmm about the car thing I don't know for sure as of right now but I have heard that they are allowing freshman to have their cars now.

Hated the dorms (Cropper), HATED financial aid, and eventually hated Fried Chicken Wednesdays (LOL) but I deff wish I would have stayed and got my degree from FAMU!

yes I was able to receive work study and I also have a part time job that helps me out when needed! I would say if you have a job before coming to college it would be easier because you will be able to transfer, but you not you have to remember this is a college town so competition is high when it comes to jobs but there are places that are always looking !!
