While not strictly a VR game, I've had a blast setting up old-school lightgun games in emulators and playing them through Virtual Desktop. Getting this working with Time Crisis would be amazing.
@evolicious4 жыл бұрын
I've hear time crisis is a bug bag, no one can seem to emulate it. This is due to the proprietary lightgun tech that their game engine uses as well as lots of factors like being locked to 30fps, weird rendering techniques, ect. Time Crisis would never work in VR, unfortunately. Someone would need to just recreate the game for VR.
@jwwaldre824 жыл бұрын
EVOLICIOUS Time Crisis actually works relatively well in MAME, using a mouse for the “gun.” You can then play it with virtual console, using your motion controller as the mouse/gun. You can even fiddle around in SteamVR to add a little vibration when you pull the trigger. It’s obviously not a VR experience, but it feels very close to Arcade-perfect (with a huge screen!).

If Protube wants to be taken seriously for professional training they really need to do something about the trigger. Tactility and trigger reset are critical elements of the shooting disciplines and the mushy stock trigger is a complete turn off to a shooter. Perhaps just adding a shoe over the controller trigger - one that adds a detent to the actuation would be better than what we've got.

I would buy it for $200 for something like this...but whenever I see something cool and think of a reasonable price, it's normally 2~4x more expensive.
