Cant find the mask anywhere sadly. One day hopefully I can buy it. It's super expensive even if I did find one and idk if I'll be willing to spend so much money. One day hopefully I'll be able to put it together. Amazing display piece for the 1981 man I love it.

hey, if you want the actual face covering used, its called a helmet and mosquito net liner. same pattern and texture from the movie.

Harry Warden and Rosemary’s Killer (or as I like to call him G.I. John), two very underrated slasher villains. I want to see a remake of the Prowler. G.I. John had such potential with his weaponry, backstory, and design, it’s a shame no one has dared to try and make him mainstream

It’s not a gas mask, it’s an MSA chemox. Rebreather. For oxygen.

I believe the hood part is a WW2 US field jacket hood. The helmet is WW2 US army as well. The camouflage covering for the face was a face covering I found on Amazon but I don't think its very movie accurate

From everything I can find and from talking to others, the canister used in the remake looks to be a made item. Mine is a empty acetone can with the hose connector glued to it. I have a little more detail on it in my other MBV setup video, but hopefully that helps.

Yup, found a cheap one on Amazon that was about the same size as the can. Had to cut/glue it a bit, but it does the job

The clamp that holds the main breathing pipe tight onto the mask is actually just another variant of a clamp that came with the MSA Chemox’s the other of course is the solid one that was originally on yours. Also some mask have a oval shaped two piece weld that comes from the main pipe down from the mask onto the rest of the housing and some are one solid piece. There is also some different strap holder variants and of course the relief valve guard etc. A lot of this stuff goes unnoticed but each and every MSA Chemox has slightly different things, I’m assuming changes they made through the years. I actually own one that has everything exactly right as the movie mask did.

The round part unscrews and the mesh is under it. The "standard" part that is on the outside was removed for the movie. So as long as the round part exists (I think there are some without it) you should be good

Outside the Box Reviews I don’t know where I’d even look to find one, But the movie has no Beige tones, and the helmet, hood, and mask share a similar shade of green.

​@@OutsideTheBoxReviews The correct face covering is a WW2 (also used in Vietnam) frog pattern mosquito veil. They're a thin cotton cover for the M1 helmet that had a kind of curtain of camo fabric that pulled down over the face, and you can see through it when over your face. They are still quite easy to find and cheap to buy. Hope that helps some of you.
