I love that this is basically a dis track against 99% of the hip hop/rap industry.

How the hell did this song make it past the Esrb and into JSRF LMAO

ESRB does not play the entire game. They play a demo, and rate base off that. They probably left the song out since you don't hear it till a later part of the game
@bumimub2 жыл бұрын
it has ‘strong lyrics’ as the main content descriptor, so I don’t think the ESRB failed to notice they probably just didn’t think it warranted a mature rating
@vDeadbolt2 жыл бұрын
@@bumimub nah, he dropped a n bomb. That warrants a mature rating lmao. ESRB plays a portion of the game and rates it off that. They clearly never played the sewer level, otherwise they would have told the devs to censor it out to keep the teen rating.

@@vDeadbolt well I can’t find anything that says the n word causes that, could you give me some examples? I’d imagine it’s similar to movie ratings, where you can say it multiple times and still retain a pg-13 rating if there isn’t really anything else in the way of adult content and the people using it are black (ex: king richard, came out earlier this past year) this really isn’t important, I’m just interested in ratings for whatever reason lmao

@@bumimub strong lyrics only applies when songs mention stuff like drugs, sex, etc. It doesn't protect against profanity. Strong Language does. Like I said,.they would force the devs to remove it to keep the t rating. Hence why GTA SA got an AO rating when the hot coffee mod was making headlines. Rockstar had to remove the mission themselves to maintain that M rating. If it didn't make headlines, it would have gotten through ESRB and they wouldn't have noticed. Hence why ESRB hasn't done anything, since they only play a portion of the game. The song comes up in the later portion of the game. Also the rating system is different for movies and games.

I love both but this is a bit superior because the beat isn’t the focus in this one. The lyrics is the main focus and the lyrics is incredible, talking about the issues of modern hip hop. The Latch Bros was pretty funky but for me I focus more on the beat more than the lyrics.

I agree, though I prefer the latch brothers remix for how diverse its rhythm can be. Though the lyrics in this is easier to listen then latch bros
@kidwithproblems87733 жыл бұрын
@@noisetank0994 extremely late reply sorry, but I agree with you how diverse The Latch Brothers remix is. The used of echos, distortions, sirens, and interesting rhythm and beat makes it a fine addition to the game soundtrack adding more of that dystopian futuristic vibe that is Jet Set Radio Future.
@xoric713 Жыл бұрын
I agree, but I think the reason is because the latch brothers were 2 of the beastie boys doing remix’s as a side project, and while the beastie boys are great, their lyrics were like 6/10, it was their production and use of sampling that was top tier and still holds up. 10/10 production. So it makes sense that the latch bros remix is a much more production based track, and it doesn’t suffer for it persay, just shifts the focus

I honestly love the original so much more than The Latch Brothers' remix. It's a good remix but I feel it just doesn't elaborate on how fluid the vocals of the original were

I’ll be honest, I think I prefer the original over the remix after finally hearing it. The chorus is way tighter without the echo imho, it keeps the pacing of the song consistent
