The PS Vita Collecting Problem...

As a retro gamer I really dont understand the idea of collecting a full sets for a any console, the whole idea of buying a bunch of games that i'll never get to or even want to play is just ridiculous. Just buy what you want play and that's it.

@ZoePoppas1994 yeah emulation is cool, I mainly use it as a demo, to try out the games before buying them. It saves time and most importantly money haha.

You're missing the fact that the Japanese games, while playable, are mostly only in japanese. Which takes out a good chunk of excellent games

good video. i got into vita in 2019 and am glad that my collection has pretty much everything i want. while i don't think now is a good time to start overall, you still can get some good deals, if you have patience and know where to lurk. i'd suggest to only collect the games you like or want to play. and maybe the occaisonal oddity, if it doesn't break the bank. going for a full set is insane on the vita because there are so many "bargain bin" type of games that got physical or even collector's releases and why would you want to own them? ghoulboy, miles & kilo and dungeons & bombs beeing some of the worst examples.

Another issue is, unless I'm mistaken, pirate sites don't typically have complete sets of Vita games because it really wasn't a well owned handheld (Sony saw to it that most people avoided the Vita due to the Memory Card prices, and had the SD 2 Vita solution released way earlier, no doubt more people would have picked up a Vita).

Since I got my Vita at launch, I still have a few games lying around. At this point I went ahead and modded it so that I can play my backups without carrying the valuable carts around.

I’m so scared to mod my vita I’m afraid it will mess it up or cause issues with my psn library
