in canada it's called the Goods and Services tax /Harmonized sales tax-both levied provincially and federally which has a rebate program quaterly during the year that provinces and federal payment amounts are made after completing income taxs yearly.And ya there's a "Carbon Tax" levied but also a rebate program as well similar to the gst rebate program
