I’m disappointed but not surprised to hear that trying to analyze something from a psychological standpoint causes me warnings and loss, but alas I was reminded from the start of this channel that I must be true to myself and those who truly subscribe will be doing so for me and what I bring. Time will filter out the rest. I’m intrigued by the psychological impacts influencers have on their viewers, how people from various fields (politics included) are increasingly utilizing the trend of podcasts, influencers and social media to sway opinions, start conversations and set trends. I’m fascinated by the human mind and human behavior. Similar to researching a topic for a thesis or dissertation. We see it in marketing. We see it the music industry. We see it in health care. Ultimately in every topic we find people capitalizing on human needs or creating perceived needs for their agenda. When did talking about this become a crime? Ironically by trying to silence or change me with the “I’m unsubscribing” “you’ve lost a listener” responses, they are doing exactly what they accuse said politicians of, which is trying to control, manipulate and silence those who dare disagree. Ironically I’m not even taking sides in this video. It’s simply a Psychological review but people see the thumbnail or topic at hand and it triggers immediately. Naturally, I can’t expect strangers on the Internet to know my heart, and to remember the point of the channel as a whole, but I’m grateful for those who are subscribed not only for me, but for the value, they can pull out in the various videos, even when they disagree or when they are not a fan of the artist or topic at hand. I think ultimately I would be truly burning my fingers (and even worse possibly sacrificing my integrity) if I simply catered to the masses of whatever is allowed at any given time. And ironically, even then, if I’m approved by a majority, there would still be those who’d like to see me burn at the stake for not confirming their bias. So thank you to those of you who are willing to stay even when you disagree. For being willing to converse respectfully. For actually listening to the video and knowing me well enough to we’re about education here. Being willing to learn. Even when it’s uncomfortable. I appreciate you. See you on the next ride. 🌊

Reading the comments I see many people saying “you went political ,good bye”. This is the biggest issue in our country. when did people become so afraid to listen to anything that they don’t agree with and at least listen to something other than their normal opinion echo chambers. We have to be willing to engage in conversations even if the topic is something you don’t agree with. This is why our country is so divided. Those who refuse to at least listen are the ones who are the most miserable.

You covered the bases well on the two edges of the sword of that type of access and influence. Now the second issue is that risk that the host becomes viewed as biased just because they managed the interview (in particular if the guest has a reputation of being very selective with who get access). So this does put the onus on the Harris Walz team to make a similar move.
@ramblingbill9101
@ramblingbill9101 2 ай бұрын
You are correct it really does force Harris to do something similar. I think Trump knows that and Harris may have a very hard time with this type of interview - she sometimes comes across as a very stiff person and not approachable.
@MrDportjoe
@MrDportjoe 2 ай бұрын
@@ramblingbill9101 We shall see. Thing to keep in mind is that many 'very approachable' people in all sorts of offices have proven to not be what they seem. I mean take a google at Morton WA and embezzlement. Be it a company or a city or a union officer, the people caught doing this tend to be very nice and well liked.
@Cryptocracy_Now
@Cryptocracy_Now 2 ай бұрын
Except Trumps not "very selective". At least not in the way that Kamala is. Kamala is afraid of the unknown. Trump will talk to just about anybody. The problem with Trump is his crazy schedule. So any interviewer usually can only get about 15 minutes with him if they're lucky, and so if he is selective, it's more on that basis vs. dodging hostile interviewers. In fact I think he prefers a hostile environment when it comes to media.
@MrDportjoe
@MrDportjoe 2 ай бұрын
@@Cryptocracy_Now We disagree on that. Trump thinks any attention is good for him BUT he really does not like being called out. As to the 15 min deall that is very common for many elected officials and staff do vet a bit but are often caught out sometimes when they don't double a trusted person who responds based on a limited knowoledge.

I’m sorry to hear that. I had hoped that I would be able to try and find the psychology behind various videos/topics and analyze current day events and how they impact us but I know anything political will often cause great polarization unfortunately often beyond being able to simply converse. Unfortunately I can’t make everyone happy and will always upset someone for doing too little or too much of one or the other thing. But thank you for being part of the ride while you were here :) blessings to you and yours

@@rosalieelliottofficial I can say that you are honorable. I came off a little bitchy and I apologize for that. I'm a retired social worker and marriage and family therapist as well as a political junkie. I guess my issue is that as a country I believe we have reached a critical state of political fatigue so I tune into your channel for the awesome music you react to.bive been a drummer for 55 years because I say John Bonham and Led Zeppelin live in 1971 and was in touring bands in the mid and late 1970s. @@rosalieelliottofficial It's disingenuous to pretend that giving Trump exposure on your platform and treating him like a regular politician (particularly this close to such a pivotal election) isn't harmful to our society. I'd come to associate your channel with compassion and empathy, and this seems tremendously and surprisingly tone-deaf.

@@MichaelCRush in no way am I trying to be disingenuous. would you feel the same if I posted a video about Kamala, because if Theo did an interview w her I would be very intrigued to review that as well. There are people who feel the same way you do about Trump, about the left/Kamala and co. there will be those who would say the exact same when I shed led on convos w that side. what are your thoughts then? ironically I've been called/perceived as rather liberal when I commented with what I perceived to be constructive criticism on music by Tom MacDonald and then ironically called old fashion and too conservative when I called out the hyper sexualization in the music industry. somehow someone will always have an issue w something because something is always relevant somewhere. so who do i cater to?
@MichaelCRush
@MichaelCRush 2 ай бұрын
@@rosalieelliottofficial You don't cater to anyone, of course; you express your own viewpoint. And that's what you'll be judged on, for better or worse--you can't expect to touch the third rail and not be burned by it. (And a weak gesturing toward bothsidesism won't change anything.) It's your channel. Do what you want with it. I wouldn't want it any other way. Just don't be surprised when your choices have actual consequences among those who disapprove of those who use their platforms to elevate or normalize a criminal.

I’m disappointed to hear that trying to analyze something from a psychological standpoint causes warnings of burning my fingers.
