The PUGET SOUND Exploration BEGINS...!!! (Edmonds, WA -- EP1)

In this EPF Episode, my exploration of the Puget Sounds at the Edmonds Fishing Pier begins on KZbin!!! For my second day in the PNW, I try to find some rocky structure around the area, in hopes of catching some Lifers from the deep waters of the pier.

😎...The Salish Sea is actually home to more than 170 different species of birds, as well as more than 250 different species of fish!!! The biodiversity in that area is truly phenomenal. For that reason, the place attracts all different sorts of Lifelisters. The potential for "new species" in that region is certainly high!
😎...The fishing was so slow that day on the Pier that I decided to sacrifice some of my fishing time and take a three hours break in the middle of the afternoon to go to the local Supermarket to get some "additional bait." You will see the results of this decision in the next KZbin video!

I went to a pier here in New Jersey and caught 2 flounder and lost 3. I’m new to saltwater fishing so I wasn’t prepared but I still landed 2. It was crazy because there were a ton of shad, I mean hundreds of thousands. Caught some bluefish feeding on them too. So many shad I would snag a couple and use them as bait which was the best tactic. Good luck Leo, your my inspiration to go fish new places and look for new species

you HAVE TO fish a place called port renfrou. its a place on vancouver island. its AMAZING. one day you have to be there. good luck. also if you go there you have to get a charter from mckenzie fishing charters. i love their charters. i caught a 35 pound chinook there a couple years ago there with him.

I moved to Washington from Oregon so I know Washington is a nightmare of complicated regulations about everything (thanks Seattle influence). Next trip to West Coast try Oregon, much better fishing for most things than Washington, much lower population thus lower pressure.

No surprise it took half the video to explain the regs. Washington has the most complex fishing regulations on the west coast. There's even regulationss specific to that particular pier.

Been watching you for about 5 years now. You actually inspired me to pursue a fisheries degree. BUT, this is the first time i've ever dropped a dislike on the video. The YT channel is just advertisement for patreon and YT monthly members now. You caught 9 species of fish and only showed the catch for 3 species in this video. The rest were only shown for snapchat. I don't comment much and I don't know if you care or not, but something about the recent videos has been sort of hurting my heart.

No. The one missing the point here is you, JMacDBeast. This is a business. KZbin is my CAREER. And just like any other business, there are PROFITS and LOSSES. And this is the part that you don't understand. The only way this Channel is surviving nowadays is via (1) the profits of the EPF Swim sales and my sponsorships out there, and (2) my Patreon platform. I can guarantee you that my KZbin Adsense money per month alone (based on the number of views that I get on this KZbin Channel) would be able to pay my monthly bills and cover A PORTION of my monthly expenses (lodging, hotel, and transportation for the trips, etc). That's about it. The average video that I post here gets 10-15k views each. Now...don't take me wrong: I appreciate everyone's view here on the Channel. Everyone contributes. But not everyone contributes at the same level. At the end of the day, from the moment that I dropped click-baiting and decided to film, edit, and publish videos that are not so marketable on this platform, this is the path that I took to bring in the profit for MY JOB. Alas...if you folks are not happy with how I do things on my platform: please -- there are PLENTY of other KZbinrs out there who publish lots of videos every week. You all know that. I am going to pin this comment, so that everyone understands where I am coming from. I will continue to SUPPORT those who SUPPORT me -- without a doubt. However, I also understand that I can't make everyone happy at the end of the day...and I am cool with that!
