Still play these games today. Punisher,warriors of fate,final fight, Street fighter,Alien vs predator... Snk games too. King of fighters, Fatal Fury,Art of Fighting, Samurai showdown and many more. One thing I found out is that picking up weapons and using them in punisher. You gotta be smart with it .

These side scrolling arcade games were too fun. Final Fight, Punisher, Bad Dudes, Golden Axe. They were pretty much the same, but still a lot of fun. Especially playing 2 players with a friend.

Every Saturday I use to go to the arcades with a friend to play this game and some others. We'd spend all our money and rarely get past the second boss on this one, game was so hard as a kid. Then we'd have to bump the 2 pence machines to get the bus fair home. Eventually all the 2p machines got alarms on them so we had to start sneaking on the metro instead.

The Punisher follows the same side-scrolling beat'em up formula Capcom established in Final Fight and Captain Commando as the protagonists engage foes and stage bosses. As in most, some or many beat'em up games of this kind, progression through the game is achieved by systematically eliminating all common enemies and proceeding to the right (or left), and defeating the bosses met at the end of each stage. Unlike in Final Fight, the player characters Punisher and Nick Fury's size, abilities and tactics are essentially interchangeable; they both use the same basic moves, such as punches, kicks and throws, which can be chained into combos, as well as similar special attacks. Basic attacks can be combined to cause extra damage to enemies. The game is presented in a comic book-like style, including featuring on-screen onomatopoeias such as "BLAM!" for gunshots.

All these years I still don't know what Punisher and Nick are saying when they do their attack+jump moves, but some time a go when I was playing it on my emulator I put my ear up to my laptop's speaker and figured that at the beginning of the game Frank is shouting "Say your prayers!"
