In the comics, he's even worse. He survives being decapitated by The Punisher, then being hit by a subway train, and it takes a nuke impact to kill him pernamently.

I played this on the PS2. A good alternative to help defeat the Russian instead of using the flaming barrels is grenades, if you still have some. It does the same amount of damage as the barrels.
