It is a good film. Period. Really shows how Frank Castle descends into psychotic vigilantism. He got his revenge and got taste for killing. Only his pride keeps him targeted at people everyone sane agrees deserve some violent form of punishment.

@@sexydudeuk2172 I agree with you. The Punisher's battle with the Russian in the comic was hilarious too and would've been fun to see a live action reenactment that was a little more faithful. But at the same time, they one we got was great too. Just in its own way.

I think these guys were underselling the fact that Nash, at the time of this film, had been doing pretend violence in front of live audiences for over 20 years with guys all shapes and sizes, and had become one of the top guys in the business for his ability to do so. It's not at all surprising he was incredible for this role.

I prefer this Punisher for MCU than Jon's to be honest. Jon is an amazing Punisher but they'll have to tone it down for MCU and that's gonna destroy it. Thomas' Punisher is perfect for MCU in my book. As to the tone, exactly in the middle of this movie and Dirty Laundry.

@@gary_05 na, this was one of the best punisher movies ever. alot of people do share your view point, but one thing you guys over look, in this movie in ‎pictular is that this is exactly how a pissed off sf dude would take revenge on some one in real life, the planning, how he used people, even family members against each other almost down to the t in the special forces hand book, and thats what tom jane and this movie did, it brought to life a form of the punisher that didnt require a serious amount of plot armor, it didnt need space magic or matrix style action scenes , thats why the last movie sucked, because they tried to comic book it not realizing comic books and movies are 2 different things. and thats what you got, over the top gunfights that would never exist in the real world even in a war zone lol ridiculous torcher plots that could have easily failed from a bystander dialing 911, endless amount of bullett casings flying every where... and, it was garbage.. with no fault of the cast and crew, they did what they were told to, make a comic book movie. but when you force artistic design to progress a plot you substitute reality. and the out come is you get a crappy movie that should have stayed in the 2d relm

Still one of the best fight sequences in Marvel films to this day. Sure it isn't as violent as Bernthal on Death Row but it was straight out of the comics and it was done with the actors themselves. That really is one of the most epic fight scenes ever and seems so real every minute of the time!!! I own it on DVD and have watched it almost 100 times and never get sick of it. I get sore watching because my muscles tighten with every fall and hit. LOL Big love and respect to these amazing professionals for what they do for our entertainment!!!

One of the better cinematic fight scenes. A little bit comical with the crushed gun barrel, or the way Nash just kept in coming at Jane, like this unstoppable automaton.

The fact that Kevin Nash has a stunt double must make that stunt guy feel kind of useless, seeing as Kevin Nash , as all wrestlers, are amazing stuntmen themselves.

And NOBODY mentioned the fact that Kevin Nash actually got stabbed when Thomas Jane picked up the wrong prop knife because the prop master was too busy trying to get laid. The stabbing became the actual take, so how much of a pro is Nash to just tank a stabbing like that!

One of the same reasons The Rock is so successful in his movies, cause of his background as a wrestler. I always thought wrestlers translate well in action scenes. They been doing choreographed stuff their whole career.
