Neville & Grahame Begg You don’t get trainers like Mr Neville Begg these days. He and Grahame were my favorite in Sydney. They once saddled up 9 runners in a Listed race at Randwick. Won races everywhere. I use to travel to the Perth Cup carnivals where they trained many Group winners. Those were the Glory days!

Gai is an amazing person, I met her once at the sales, she invited me around to her stables on a Sunday where she hosts all of her owners, who are there to see their horses, when I walked in Gai knew my name and I watched her react with all of her owners, she remembered them all by name(and there must have been a couple of hundred of them) but that's not all, she remembered the names of their kids as well, who were also part of the "event" She made every one feel like part of the family , They say once you learn to fake sincerity you have it made......I don't think she was faking, if she was, she was goooood!

When parking your car in the middle of Randwick on the way to the track, you would see the horses being walked to their stalls from the stables. One thing, you could always tell a TJ horse by just looking at them. They had that certain look, hard to explain unless you went to the track every week.

great podcast , fascinating lady met her a couple of years ago at Magic Millions and wanted to take her photo no problem shoot away , Adrian is the same met Him at Canterbury races a couple of weeks ago we had a beer and he was genuinely up for a chat about the stable and a few of his horses, they deserve success because they are down to earth approachable people, Gai is right most people can afford to be involved on some level , I think they would be great to have horse's with 😃
