There are some parts here that are missing/have wrong mechanic explanations: 1:15 Surface Laser Description is wrong, it is not a homing aoe like Cloud of Darkness/Thunder God. It's similar to Akh Rahl mechanic in Shinryu Ex/O10S where the player leaves behind a pulsing aoe and the player just has to move outside the blast to not take continuous damage. 3:32 2nd Boss Sharp Turn The bosses can also draw out their left blades, in that case the safe spot is inside the triangle. 5:27 3rd Boss Laser Turret There are two types of laser turrets: high and low The low turrets blast the whole area in front of them for persistent damage High turrets will blast 1/3ths of the area in front of them: the closest, the middle, then the farthest. To dodge it, position at the edge of the high turret, then move in towards the low turret area when it disappears.

In addition, the stack circles on the third boss also have a countdown on the monitors behind them, as well as indicating how many players are needed.

With the fourth boss. Reproduce can have 2 other options. The prime blade that casts a close range AoE and Prime blade that faces in a line. I have not encountered the Prime Blade frontal attack yet but the Close range AoE is brutal. Her clones will teleport next to her and will all simultaneously cast the circle AoE Prime Blade. The best way to avoid is to head in the cardinal directions as far as you can. Get hit by more than one will kill anyone caught in it.

hey, can you explain about pod mechanic on 3rd boss??? i still don't get the mechanic even after watching the video and do the raids like 20+ times, I only follow others parties and end up in a safe spot or a total wipe.

@@Sammysnows late answer but for the pods, look at the screens. The first two times it's either all 010 or 030, place yourselves between them. (safe spot for 030 is much smaller) When the boss starts mixing both, There will only be one pair of screens that both show 010 side by side. You'll want to be between those two pods. The second time this happens there'll be a line trailing from all the pods to either the left of the right. In those cases you shift one screen left or right for safe spot.

Pod Programs - go between the two R10 Laser pods for safety. When the screens point either left or right to the next pod over, shift over left or right as well since that's where the safe zone will be.

More easily than most, Aetherial Manipulation and Between the Lines are wildly broken and underutilized tools. Once you learn each fight, BLM has an insanely easy time with anything. A matter of knowing ahead of time when it's time to ZOOM ZOOM 😄

Also Spell Speed. Crit is optimal but BLM doesn't crap on their dps if they build it. If mechanics trouble you, consider trying a sps setup to get more comfy and mechanics will be more forgiving. 😉

@@zeninspriggan794 😆 as a healer I actually prioritize BLM when I can. I've found (maybe there's a correlation between individual skill and class choice) that Black Mages know exactly what they're doing, and Dancers. Never have to worry about rezzing/healing them most of the time, and certain Dragoons that are really sexy with their jumps. I HIGHLY prioritize whichever dps I see that knows how to stay alive though, always 🤣

SonicEdge7 To counter, the Thunder God Boss from Ivalice raids has a similar mechanics where he sticks his swords into the ground and you have to run in to dodge the attack.

My FC went into this blind and 1/3 drunk. Full wipe on every boss once. My party alone had 117 deaths in the 8 pulls. 346 deaths total. Never had more fun in a fight than that!

Just one thing about the third boss Pods - during the overlap, just go in between the two laser (r010) pods because that's the safe zone. If for some reason people can't run there within 10 or so seconds, as long as they're full health, they can eat an aoe as long as there's no overlap. Though it's preferable to go to safe zone tbh.

While I'm glad when I see the guide isn't as long before hopping into the queue, there were alot of tricky (overlap) situations missing that were clearly a reason for many deaths, even after a year.

For the Flying Units' Sharp Turn, I found it easy to remember that the blade inside the triangle means move out and the blade outside the triangle means move inside

That part where the pod AOEs start to overlap got me today after not dying to this boss for a long time. I didn't understand why an extra aoe between two 30s popped up under me, but it was because line aoes from two other 10s were hitting each of the 30s beside me. Seems like there's only one safe spot during that part and it's between two 10s; which I usually go to anyways so I didn't notice the extra mechanic there.

Not gonna lie, I main tanked this for the first time today and I still wasn't super clear on the tells for prime blade. So while the compound had its transformation cutscene, I panicked, alt tabbed, ran to youtube, typed 'puppet's bunker guide,' clicked this, and found whatever part the big 2P started at. I was only able to listen, but the bit explaining the prime blade telegraphs saved my ass. (The queue popped pretty fast so I didn't have time to look before going in. I also didn't expect to MT) Thank you!

This raid i did in last 48 hrs for first time with absolutely no clue. I think it was more fun going in with no clue at all, but it surely wasn't as much fun for the healers who had to keep rezzing me one of the 3 Tanks. I died so much it was a tanking death record just from not having a clue. Since i've watched this, i now understand some the mechanics at work here and will be a bit more familiar next time. One the best tip overall for the entire raid all three was 2 Healers in my group who took it upon themself in strategy to raid mark themselves and just asked that I follow them moving on big moves to avoid big hits i weren't sure of. That was a good strat!

I still have no idea where exactly the safe spot is for Refraction Cannon as the angle isn't the best for seeing a safe zone. Kind of over the half arena cleaves. I tunnel too hard to notice sword positions or glowy so this update's been rough for me. Final boss I've had barely over half uptime.

You have to watch the overlappping areas. The safe spot is where the overlap is shrinking faster.

Yeah, look for the areas where the overlap seems slimmer. There's quite a generous timeframe to position for this one luckily. If you stand between two shrinking areas you're quite able to make it even if you wait until one is starting to open up before you dart in there(unless you have a lot of latency to compensate for). Just takes a bit of practice.

I think she means the sword that'll either be on the boss's left or right side. I was super confused on the first mechanic where "thrusters" is mentioned, but she said it again for another mechanic where you gotta dodge left/right 3 times in succession based on the direction of the SWORD, so I assume that's really what she meant.

So correct me if I'm wrong but for the 2nd boss fight, if the laser beam is on the right side it means they burn outside but if it's on the left they burn inside the triangle no? And for the pod phase of the 3rd boss the sweet spot is in-between 10 & 30 pods no? 🤔 Because I swear I saw it on the left side and got in the triangle and got burn inside today 😱

2nd boss: it's "yes and no" for the sword; it's dependent on whether or not the sword is facing the outside of the "triangle laser" or the inside of the triangle. Sword facing Inside = safe spot is outside the laser + opposite side of sword (check the area's thick line on the floor). Sword facing Outside = safe spot is inside the triangle. 3rd boss: each monitor has a tether to a specific pod. It has a chance to tether to the pod right in front of it, or 1 pod left/right. Basic premise is the same: when both ball and line present, go in-between the 2 *pods with line lasers* , not the monitors.

Just to clarify: A goes left, B stays center, and C goes right, right? I just got into PB as Alliance B. Alliance A also stayed center and started the fight without a ready check or countdown. Then they got mad at us when they wiped because B didn’t go left. Then B and A got in a spat about placement and me and my friends quit the raid.

You know how most of the fight you want to be in the spots where they teleport to? Well for this one you want to do the opposite and head for the ones that will be teleporting. Once they teleport the spot they were is now freed and is a safe zone. It similar to the time where she make the 4 clones and they will be copying the spin move where you do not want to be where they teleport to.

This can definitely be tricky. Some of the overlapping areas move quicker than the others, which means they will expose the safe part of the floor before the attack goes off. The slower moving ones won't move fast enough to expose a safe spot on the floor. It's hard to describe but you can recognize it once you see it and start looking for it.

The problem is on the right for alliance C both sides weren't safe so they had to travel further to find a safe spot, that's what I encountered last night and it killed my entire party. I don't think I'll be fast enough to recognise if both spots in my area aren't safe like that.

I’m a year late and this raid probably is far from relevant but one key thing that helps is to look at the widest part of the cones at the edge. Those have to close visibly faster than the middle and base of the overlap so if you pay attention to the speed of the widest part of the beam (the outside) it’s easier to calculate

I only mean this as a constructive criticism, but the quality of the guides has gone down quite a bit. There are a lot of mechanics outright missing, and then some mechanics that are wrong in explanation or have no explanation, only "adjust as necessary" bits with no regard for how to adjust. I understand content maker wise the desire to be the first to upload a guide, but don't let it be at the cost of quality please. You need to do these runs more to see every possible variation beforehand.

Compound 2P fight is missing a skill - Compound Pod: R012 - adds 3 tank busters, 6 traveling AOE circles, 2 circular ground AOEs. Tank busters may have some splash damage, as stacking two tanks nets two dead tanks.

With the amount of corrections in the comments on this video, I think you should either delete this and reupload it with correct information, or simply delete if you can't be bothered. It's old content, sure, but there's thousands of newer players coming in who are watching it and doing it for the first time. WWYP - What would Yoshi-P do, if he uploaded a guide with bad information every couple of minutes that had to be corrected in the comments? He would apologize and do it again - he wouldn't keep it up on his KZbin channel, compounding the problem. If he can do it, you can do it.
