Watching the directors commentary really made me appreciate this final fight scene. Frank did all of his own stunts (he has an extensive background in mma) and the filming took over 5 hours. That's dedication. Rest in peace Dante

Something curious: My partner (who saw the three movies with me) told me that it was unfair to Dante to be killed, because that means that the family who rescued him and lost the dad in the first movie was for nothing. But actually, it was very fair, I mean, one year after being rescued, Dante help to save Leo and the others in the second movie, wich cause that Leo could save Charlie and then Dante save her again with his group. His death really worth it everything to remove the purge night, which almost killed him in the first movie. Sorry for bad english :(

Just about any knife can pierce a Kevlar vest, it's ironic how it can stop small caliber rounds but not a blade. If he had a steel plate in front than more than likely he'd have some on the sides too. Though the areas not covered are the perfect points for a push dagger. If it were a full on Kevlar vest, he'd be attacked in the stomach and chest so quick.
