In today's video I am sharing my thoughts and revelations about what the true purpose for a christian mom is. I have struggled with this question for a WHILE (exactly 6 years to be exact since my first son was born). I was trying to figure out what has to be my priority and what should make it unto my to-do list as a chrstian mom. And here! Finally! I have the answer for myself and sharing it with you! I will be referring to the book of Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 from the bible.

I really enjoyed your video! There is a neat forum called Christianmom.com that is a quiet resource for christian moms to socialize, and that has been so beneficial to me as a CM. It is nice to have friends to talk to when we get the chance from our own homes!! :)

Thank you for this video! I've been transitioning from career to homemaking, and it's very difficult to feel productive without an external project. I keep trying to make a job of everything. This helped me remember that God has given me this time to nurture my children, support my partner, and develop my character in Christ. Modern feminism did a number on me! I'm learning that I am enough without a career. My work is educating my children, creating a sanctuary at home, and becoming an exceptional woman of God. Thank you!

I have 2 under 2 and I feel burnt out and empty. I don't have much family in our lives. My husband works all day. We came to the Lord and want better for our family so it's a lonely walk in the sense of family help. We have a great church body so there are so many blessings. But I'm struggling a lot. Trying to be hopeful and faithful. There is a culture of "self care" but I want a biblical perspective of how go get through it

I know this is a year later but I read your comment, I feel I know the struggle, I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old and at the end of the day when everyone is tired, it can be very overwhelming but as I left your comment I felt God impressed upon my heart to say Philippians 4:6, I searched the verse it reads; “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” May God bless you and your family

I feel like the proverbs woman is a celebration of good things women do, that is why is why she is both a night owl and a early bird lol, because some are night owls and some are early birds. It’s a good encouragement but not a condemnation :)

Appreciate this so much! Lately I’ve been struggling with what to do next. I’ve been working at a daycare for a few years now. At first was great, but it has become extremely stressful in the past year. I feel I haven’t been able to give my kids the attentiveness and care that they need. Or my husband. Or my home. I struggle with anxiety as well. So me and my husband have been talking about me going down to part time. I want to be able to focus on the priorities like what you said: God, my husband, my children, my home and my character. This video really helped give me peace about this decision. Thank you so much! Chelsea, yes, life of a mom is VERY full! And God gives us energy to do A LOT but yes, we are also limited in some ways too. We all need to make decisions that will work best for our family unit at this season of life, and then if something doesn't feel right, you can change the things later again to make them work better! I feel like it's an always shifting target that we are trying to get!

My will is to my whole family members should be saved no body will leave here for persecution. I have a son and my husband is bedridden. So please pray for my whole family for Salvation. I love your video, I felt like I was having a conversation with you, so many points I can relate to. When I became a mom i realized that i would have to answer to G-d about my child well being and development. I am an architectural designer so it was difficult leaving a dream job to become a mom. But mothers are the gate keepers of the home. When i was a child my mother worked and no one was home and unfortunately people took advantage of the situation, which led to a trauma and PTSD. G-d healed me but i do often think of the troubles that can be avoided if more mothers were available to their children. I do understand when mothers have to work, but in my case my mother didn't need the money. Keep up the good content! ❤❤❤

Wow, this was really nice video, helped me a lot to understand this topic I'm struggling with. But just to mention, in Bible, at that time a lot of women had maids/help or lived together in big family units with other women.. It was very different society and family dinamic than nowdays. Today woman are mostly alone in household taking care for family, herself, kids, homeschool, husbands, homes, food, cleaning, working full time or side jobs.. 🙄💜

You are a lovely lady and its great how you seek the Lord. Men are meant to be the providers and women the homemakers. A woman cannot do both, work outside of home and care for a home. Something will suffer, most likely you are a part time mom . It looks like you have interpreted scripture to justify your desire to work outside of home. Thankfully God is gracious to us. I appreciate your comment but I actually have to disagree. In Proverbs 31 it is VERY clear that the woman mentioned their is a working mom and enterprenuer. And from many biblical examples there are many godly women who are working moms. I believe God allows us to be either or and that's the beauty of a free choice in many different scenarios. I can be a good or a bad mom working or stay at home. My mom was a working outsite the home mom and never felt like I was missing her attention and love in my life.

Can you please provide the scripture for that? Also, being an entrepreneur means that you do not fall under any other man's authority. Working for a boss, goes against being submissive to your husband who is your authority 🤷🏻‍♀️

(Proverbs 31:13-22, ESV) Do we also tend the fields? Do we also make bed coverings and clothes? It's important to understand the difference between descriptive text and prescriptive text. In Titus its a clear prescriptive text whereas Proverbs 31 isn't. To add, thank you for the kind way in which you are addressing the matter ❤️

@Bro Bette OK well FIRST OFF, let's get started with the fact that those are the words of Paul. Not God himself. Second, husbands are also commanded by God to Submit to their wives and love then as Christ loves the church. Even to the point if sacrifice his life. And I'm not talking just physical life that also mean sacrifice of time, money, work, hobbies, pleasure....whatever it is you need to put your wife and family ahead if those things and provide for the home with your wife.
