Its probaly because zelda is always Captured and link is there final hope if they lose him she thinks everything is doomed

Tears probably represent the sages somehow. Kinda reminds me of Twilight Princess because of those cool tear quests that no one but me enjoyed, apparently. I really hope Midna and the Twili are somehow referenced in TOTK. Honestly I can think of a dozen directions they can go in this game when it comes to the story, as well as a potential 3rd installment on the next gen Switch, which I think will almost be guaranteed assuming TOTK sells at least as well as BOTW. Based on what I’ve seen so far, it should surpass it easily.

Riju is not Urbosa’s daughter. There’s nearly 100 years difference! I think she is her ancestor though

Sadly, I don't think Tears will give us any abilities because remember the previews? The Recall ability seems to be an arm ability, it probably has nothing to do with Zelda's tear. Plus in the ability menue we saw there was only one secret ability left, and we earn most of them right in the beginning. So my guess is, the tears doesn't give us abilities but will just be given to the Sages.. That sucks imo, I really wanted to play a Thanos Link lmao

We’re getting it wrong. The real villain behind all this is the Flower Blight Lady, setting herself up for a final confrontation with Link over trampling her flowers.

I think that the tears are something needed to subdue Ganondorf. We do see a structure rising up from the desert, which many believe is Arbiter's keep/grounds, and maybe the tears need to be taken there and used to activate something in the final boss battle. As far as death mountain, from what we have seen from the air, the places where the Shrines were, we now see a hole and malice, maybe is the same with the Divine Beasts, which may explain the storm over Rito Village since Vah Medoh was in the air. less than 12 more days!

Good look getting those extra theories out before release, it really sounds ambitious in the just under a fortnight we have left (unreal, I know) but I want to hear them!

Im excited about this 'sage' thing lol, i mean the fact there seems to be some collectable item in the game. There were a bunch of leaked items and one of them was called 'sage ...something' 🤔...it looked exactly like the spirit orb you'd get after completing a shrine, it was round and i forget what colour🤔. Someone just said they just found one in a chest while playing the demo. Anyways.... its making me so nostalgic just seeing that word again ❤

Having the ability to breath/swim underwater would open up so many possibilities to explore the map and possibility another dungeon like the water temple and lakebed temple.

Much as that would be awesome, my concern is that if the devs went there, would they do him as a character justice? I don't think a redemption story would do anything but neuter him, and I'd rather not see that lol. They might be able to pull it off if they follow the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend at least until my enemy is dead" premise.
