Good sermon, and please, by no means am I trying to be offensive, however, i can help the poor which is good in God's eyes verses giving to a church. The biggest issue with Pastor's telling people this knowing so many don't know the Bible and what God truly said about tithing, aiding, and be a cheerful giver 2Corinthians 9:7, not because a man told you too. Have a heart to Help others, prayer is so vital, the poor via proverbs 19:17. People give their last based on hope. Build a personal relationship with Jesus, read, study, and learn God's word. Yes, I do tithe to a church I grew up in and apart of for 50 years. We had a school, low cost, we had a credit union, i bought my first car there, and the Pastor never told my parents or anyone, you HAVE to give. He said, You ought to have a heart to give and help. Our pastor did not turn people away who needed help EVEN if they didn't have money to tithe. You can volunteer, pray, help out at church events, give whatever you can. God look at your heart- Samuel 16:7. No offense brothers and sisters. My business provides free service because I'm building it for Jesus. Amen.

Malachi 3:10 literally says Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it……it’s a command by God. As well as the story of Cain and Abel. His showed favor to abel because he bought his offering first to the Lord before he did anything else. Helping the needy and spreading the gospel is what we are supposed to do as followers of Christ, it’s not a replacement for tithes if your able to give.

​@diamondadams8942 Hello, I agree with you, however, pastor's are the ones not meeting their obligations when it comes to helping people in need. I refuse to give to a church thats not aiding in the community, or making a significant difference. I am honored to give to the church I grew up in, including many organizations that are taking time to truly help. God said be a Cheerful giver. Tithing with many of these false, greedy pastor's who are not standing on the principles of God's word. Thanks for constructive feedback.
