The qualifiers announcement of the first Semi-Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest

The tension rose when the qualifiers of the first Semi-Final were announced.
The following ten countries have qualified for the Grand Final (in order of announcement):

Guys, don't be mad about a country not getting to the final. This semi final was in my opinion the biggest bloodbath in all history and it was sure before the show that some rly good songs not gonna make it to the final. All countries in this semifinal should be happy and proud.

but some bad songs got to the final lmao. Austria was plain horrible, Albania also doesn't have anything special except his vocals, and Ireland wasn't that special either, apart from the gay couple dancing lol. Greece and Belgium had something different and interesting to offer.

Am I the only one feeling alright with this result? Sure my favourite, Switzerland didn't get through but I recognize that people have different musical tastes and that's something to be encouraged. Yeah I’m okay with it, looking back at the recap I think the 10 were deserved! It was tough semi so good songs were gonna go either way! But I think a lot of songs just weren’t memorable enough, namely Azerbaijan, Armenia, Greece, Belgium and Croatia. They were 50/50 but after the recap I completely get why they didn’t qualify. I’m so glad that people are voting for the song and not the country like they should! When Ireland and Czechia can qualify and Azerbaijan, Armenia and Greece can’t it really restores your faith in people

I was voting for 7 songs: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Armenia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland. 5 of these countries are in the final and I am happy. But Greece and Armenia :( Also Ireland is a surprise but that performance was magical. Also I am very happy for Albania and Lithuania, because I wasn't sure that they will go to the final. One year passed and I still remember my reaction when they said Ireland! I was so nervous I thought it wouldn't qualify and I prayed from the first time I heard the song I prayed to qualify and when I heard Ireland I was screaming, I cried because I was so happy. It was my favorite out of all, my friends were making fun of me why I was so obsessed with this song but I guess they couldn't understand the amazing meaning of this beautiful song. That was such an amazing moment. I was in the arena that night and after I heard Lithuania, Albania and Finland went through, I was sure that Ireland wouldn't qualify. Then, they announced Ireland as the final qualifier and I couldn't believe it. I was hugging all the people around me, we were waving our flags and lots of pictures were being taken with people from countries all over Europe. It was incredible and I'll never forget it.

I love all the songs of first semi final (except Iceland even though he has an amazing voice) but for me a song like stones from Switzerland was one of the best and I'm so sad it didn't qualify. I would have prefer Greece or Switzerland qualify instead of Ireland for exemple but that doesn't mean that I don't like Ireland's song And I'm so sad I couldn't vote because I'm French

I'm so happy for Albania and Ireland. I spontaneously cried when they said "Ireland". I would change Switzerland and Croatia for Czech Republic, Lithuania and/or Austria. F.Y.R Macedonia had a really good song but the staging was a mess.
