Since the introduction of mechanised farming the big shire horses that used to pull the ploughs and harrows are all but extinct. Fast, fleet race horses are expensive to rear - ban racing and those horses will go too.

She loves them. She grew up around them. There some awesome videos of her & horses here on YT. There's one of her taking her grandchildren out on their ponies when they were little. I used to work at a stables that had one of her horses; a Haflinger called Freya. She didn't pay for it's upkeep, The Crown seems to think that having the use of one of her horses is payment enough. Considering how much the stables used to use the horse as much as they wanted, The Crown was right.

Every time I see our loyal , faithful , hard working Queen as she is ageing it makes me so grateful that her uncle abdicated . She is a beacon of hope to the world with her absolute commitment to God , her Country and the Commonwealth and her whole life has really been one of self sacrifice as well as her " Strength and Stay " Prince Philip whose duty and huge sacrifice should be more appreciated than it is . Just seeing her now brings tears to my eyes and I am an old Anglo /Irish grandma . ( Republic of Ireland ) such sadness and turmoil that honourable woman has witnessed during her life .

I'm glad that this video is seen by the world (hopefully)and knowing that there are still some people like Queen Elisabeth and her family cares and loves horses and cares about they're well being. So many horses are neglected, mistreated beaten on a daily basis, abandoned, sent to slaughter, It is very upsetting. These so very intelligent, noble, sensitive beings were the source and the cause of many battles won through many millenniums. Were the transportation and survival of us humans to exist. Now they are chased off by helicopters from there land and collapse and die from exhaustion.

Oh my HM queen Elizabeth is all spring in her elegant outfit. I love the colour and the decoration on her hat. She is also very comfortable around horses, and why not? She have been riding them for years. HM is always wonderful to see, she reminds me in some ways of my grandmother who just kept on working, strong, independent, elegant, smart, and needed no help from anyone of her children. And yes is the one to see for some really good wisdom. I guess it is why my friends are either around her age to my mom's age. They have taught me to look closer, listen more, observe every. While others are exploding. Because of my conditioning, I am able to remain calm, because I see what most people do not see; and so on.😊 I find I am calmer, slow to jump to the incorrect conclusion, and the harming of another is less unlikely. No I am not perfect, I am much better unable to be on the incorrect side. 😊

A RAF jet would land at Lexington airport, clear customs and she would greet old friends waiting for her, she would then spend several days with her hosts in a low key atmosphere.
