Tim Purves grew up in a long family line of undertakers. When asked at school what job he thought he would have he could only answer ‘I suppose I’ll be an undertaker! Before joining the family business, he went travelling and spent two years in Australia and New Zealand.
For many years Tim knew that his business would be called upon if Queen Elizabeth II were to pass away while in Scotland. He had been involved in many planning meetings in previous years. When the Queen passed away Tim was called, and he immediately travelled to Balmoral. A few days later Tim travelled in the royal hearse for the seven-hour journey to Edinburgh.
Join Roger Carswell in conversation with Tim as he shares his experiences of life, that remarkable journey and his Christian faith.
