I think the fact that Twitter doesn't even have an edit button, a feature that's on pretty much every platform imaginable, is very indicative of the site's nature. It's a website that does not forgive and does not forget. Whether it be an unsavory remark someone made a decade ago (that they probably don't even agree with anymore), or even just making a simple typo, it's very clear that Twitter is not a place for those who make mistakes.

Discord's probably the best platform intended for actual discussion, and even then, public servers can still suffer from a lot of the problems that Twitter has. That being said, engaging in Discord servers promotes learning your way around a server's culture in order to communicate in it properly. Whether or not that server's culture is gay or not is a different story though. There's just some servers that are just as bad, if not worse, than Twitter. Back in like 2011 I used Twitter to actually talk to a few celebrities. No one TOO big. Edgar Wright is probably the most notable, and we discussed the clackers used in movies. It was neat. Twitter doesn't resemble that site anymore. Especially the last couple months, it's been quite a war. The good ol' potus isn't helping, and I'd argue has made things worse. Twitter is just bizarre overall though. I don't know why anyone uses it anymore. It doesn't do anything that literally any other social media doesn't let you do, and what it does do, it does worse. Although, Facebook's promotion system is absolute garbage. It's as if corporatizing societal discourse destroys it or something, but who knows... I'm just an unverified account

The internet in general isn't the same place as it was back in 2011. I consider 2011 the last good year for the internet. Everything's been going downhill since then. Politics has seeped into everything and internet censorship is to the point where social media sites feel like the internet version of North Korea. Everything's just so clinical and devoid of fun nowadays thanks to SJW outrage mobs holding the reins and steering the culture in the direction they want it to go in, not the direction everyone else wants it to go in.

PlotTwist actually the thing I hate most on the internet is when people blame literally anything on these super vague SJW’s like who are these sjw’s that are ruining the internet cause I’m not seeing them.

I use Twitter mostly to look at art, animation news and cute dogs. I might post my own art someday for fun. I try to avoid politics like the plague but it's honestly impossible. Somehow it ends up leaking into my timeline

We're headed into the Kali Yuga where petty authority figures, the type you find on Twitter, run society. The new internet sucks but it's mainly because of the outside world imposing its grip on it.

@Mrs Derka but you see, the seething hatred for him is causing anti-SJWs to get more pissed off at SJWs, which leads to both sides wanting to put the internet into their favor. He's not directly to blame for it, but the outrage mob made such a big hoopla about him, it's only made things worse.

When stake-ummms is more helpful and kind than Twitter it’s self
