Devin. I mentioned this on another video a few days ago, but I wanted to mention it again. There is a audio clip available here on KZbin by a man name Paul Harvey. The title is "If I were the Devil". He gave this commentary on National radio in 1965. I hope you'll do a reaction to it. I believe you'll be suprised by, and find familiar, what was said..The clip itself is a short clip, 2-3 minutes, but the content hits home. I look foward to watching your reaction....

Sad part is that alot of the religious people have truly forgotten how to follow the word and not what the preacher said last Sunday. As a military veteran of 14 years and been through alot in my 43 year's. I have been homeless 5 different times not just from my mistakes but other people's evil actions to me. It sad that even my blood family who claims to be Christian turned there back on me. I been down in the gutter and around drugs and helped pull people out of that. That is true we need to follow the word in the bible not what a person says is the way but ask questions. Because wisdom is talked about more in the Bible then any other thing. Even Jesus said come to me as a child. Who knows a child that never ask questions? That is the one thing every child does no matter skin tone or background.

I served as a missionary of my church for 2 years. Even when I find the communication strategy/reasoning presented effectived ( as I have used it as a missionary). However, THE REAL QUESTION that stops christians and non-christians is: DO YOU BELIEVE GOD CAN COMMUNICATE WITH YOU AND CONFIRM THE TRUTHFULNESS OF THIS SUBJECT. This is exactly the question I would have asked to the Barns and Nob person. The ultimate question in other words is DO YOU BELIEVE IN PERSONAL REVELATION? It matters more to obtain a confirmation or testimony of a truth than just the mere knowledge of it. To receive a confirmation of God by revelation, as promised by Christ Himself (Ask and you shall receive) and to recognize the answer by the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22) is the Ultimate goal. If you feel the fruits of the spirit as a confirmation such as true peace, joy, love, patience,etc You would for certain that God lives! and by doing so you will know that you are a son or daughter of God and that He has a plan of salvation and happyness for us. This is foundational to understand and value the gospel of Jesuschrist. (I am LDS)

@@ericwiltse8054 Back in February I lost everything I own in a massive flood in my town. A week later a twister came through and luckily it was a small touchdown but it touched down in an area that was 200 yards wide and it traveled about 600 yards. I thank the Lord no body was hurt as most of it was vacant land but it came through our yard and all of the yards that backed onto the vacant land. We had a massive gum tree snap half way up, around 40 foot up and it dropped the rest of the tree about 50 feet that landed in the fork of another tree. It landed on my fridge that was brand new in its box but covered in a tarpaulin and well wrapped up. Luckily it glanced off the fridge and stopped the brunt of the force from destroying my car. The cheap carport was destroyed. Because of where we live, they will not insure against flooding. I lost all of my personal belongings as my son who I took sole custody off two years ago and I live with my mother because we can’t find somewhere to live and all of my possessions were under the house and destroyed. The vacancy rate before the flood was .002% now there is massive pressure. I am not giving up. I am on disability because of the severity of my brain injury but I’m not stupid. I just have very poor memory and I am to slow to work. I get exhausted from processing vision and sound. Which is a common thing. But that’s not the good news. I have been praying for something to help with my money situation as I have to rebuild my life again. There were government programs people could apply for yet I never quite fit the criteria in any of them. Anyway I got a call 3 days ago and the Salvation Army gave me $1000 and put me in for a government grant and so they organised another $1000. So this week I received $2000 and I had been saying to my son( who goes to a Christian Private School on a scholarship) just the day before that I want to have $1000 in the bank and he said he wants another $1000 towards buying his first car. I was able to give him that $1000 and keep that $1000 for myself. I feel like Jesus is making certain things within me change such as the way I think about others and him of course. I was able to order my bible today because I can’t really read off my phone that well. I’m certain Jesus Christ is moulding me and this is without going to church yet. I do suffer from agoraphobia and PTSD but I’m going soon. This is to important. I am 50 and I have hope again. I have had a very hard life and should have died in a dozen situations, I did die for 2 minutes when I was 19 in an accident and I can tell you that what was on the other side is pure love that I can never put into words. If I had not known God at the time as I prayed during the storm facing near death with my toddler and fiance, I may not have lived to tell about it. I believe God saved us from death and I believe even though we had nothing left except each other was the lesson to be learned in this scenario. He taught me that material things do not matter only faith in Him and appreciate our loved ones be it family or just the few important ppl in our lives is what matters. I have peace about what happened. This is when our faith is tested when we are left with nothing but faith in Him, for us to seek God in time of trial and tribulations but also not forget to thank Him in times of joy and peace. Times when you have thoughts of depression, anxiety, loneliness, sorrow, anger or even worthlessness remember you are not alone many people feel this way at times but prayer and faith can move mountains and God will answer and replace those thoughts with joy, happiness and peace. I was blessed to have been exposed to the gospel at 17 years old. Early in my Christian walk I was very frustrated with my witnessing because I thought it was my job to get people saved. In my mid twenties I was witnessing to anyone who would discuss it with me. Sadly, in my legalistic approach It became a competition for me. I had to win the argument. The problem with that is that I can't save anyone, not even myself. I was burning out on witnessing because getting anyone saved is above anyone's pay grade. Since the Bible is spiritually discerned, meaning only with the moving of the Spirit of God in a person will their heart be changed. Ephesians chap. 2 speaks of is being dead in our sins and trespasses. And unless the Spirit quickens or makes that person alive we cannot comprehend the things of God. I learned that my job was not to convince a person of the truth of God's Word; rather my purpose must be to be the conduit of God's Word. My words or arguments cannot bring regeneration. Faith comes by hearing God's Word. The Holy Spirit uses that to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. Once I got straight what my responsibility was and what I had to leave to the Spirit to do what only He can do (that is to change peoples hearts) then effective witnessing became possible without me becoming frustrated. For the last 25 years I have been living in Ghana, West Africa sharing the truth of the gospel message. At 73 the work is as fresh as ever. I do my service and God gives the increase by changing hearts. My confidants is in Jesus' words in John 10, "all that the Father has given to Me will come unto me. . .and no one will pluck them out of My hand. . . And no one will pluck them out of My Father's hand."

Ok before we start two points here. 1) you will have to take a couple days of dissecting almost line by line and applying critical thinking. There is a lot packed in here. An immediate response means you didn't apply any thought or reasoning. 2) What gets stated here is indisputable fact. I'm not theorizing. I'm stating facts For example you will see early a stament of fact between 2 ☆'s. You cannot dispute it. Because it is indisputable truth. You will not find facts in theory you find possible summation. So here you are. WAS THE UNIVERSE CREATED? A little food for thought. Was the universe created? ☆We know creation exists. We do it every day. I am creating this comment on a created device. You are reading it on a created device.☆ You cannot find these devices in nature. You cant pluck them from a tree, mine them from the ground or catch them in a net in water. (💥 So now that we know creation exist. 💥) We can now define it. ☆>[ Creation is design for function and purpose through precision. ][ All of Science accounted for, at the very beginning of the bible and BEFORE PEOPLE KNEW IT HAD TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR.[ Which it does. I used to be in a apologetics class in a church I attended back in 2010. Later that year demons started coming into my home terrorizing me and manifesting in all forms. Let me say this, I stopped the apologetics and was chased into the arms of Jesus Christ. I learned i had to throw Satan out of home if i was going to walk with the Lord. The Lord has used doors to teach me, what in my home/life is a door open for lucifer to have permission to come and steal, kill and destroy? I began to get into the Word and be taught by the Holy Spirit. Later was baptized by water and then one day while driving on the 118 fwy with my then 3yr old son and our dog in my car, was baptized by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has taught us the power of repentance, putting feet to our faith and how to walk a sanctification walk before the Lord. There truly is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun, and its my prayer that more Christians began to be chased into the arms of Jesus Christ and know the Power of His Word, because He is The Living Word Of God. Yet one day God corrected me, He said, I called you to be my example of love to others, not to debate people. As I said, that wasn't my path. Mine is identity, Kingdom development and changing mindsets from Christian to Sonship. I asked God one time, "I know the bible says to go forth and preach the gospel to all creatures...but I'm no preacher. What do you want ME to do?" And his response was simple. "Three things. 1. Love them where they ARE. 2. Tell them what you've LEARNED. 3. Let me do MY work." And he accompanied it with the scene of Jesus walking through Jerusalem. He was surrounded by people, but he only spoke to those who were seeking. Now, lots of people are called to street preach and evangelize. And there are many people in the body of Christ. Many different personalities, gifts, and ways of delivery. But all can come out of love. So, I do my best to adhere to what God has told me to do in this regard, and it is not MY job to know what happened to that person after we spoke. I don't always personally lead people to Christ. Sometimes I am just that smiling face at the store, that random Holy Spirit inspired hug and "God bless you." Sincerity and true love is more powerful than most apologetics. And I find that the more I do simply what God says to do, and I don't try to force anything, I might not see them saved with Christ, but I always see the smile of the Father. We are called first and foremost to be good to our neighbors, to each other. If we treated each other like the brothers and sisters we profess everyone is, like actual family, do you think people would notice? God bless.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! I find that apologetics come from a standpoint of REASON & LOGIC and that's where they go WRONG! They waste time in debates using LOGIC and get no where. God can defend Himself and SOULS will be won much more if we are totally submissive to the Holy Spirit.

@@J_a_s_o_n Apologetics has its place. And part of that position is getting someone from the position of a combatant to the position of friend. Are they opposite you or next to you. The idea of being a brother or sister is that we are all on the same playing field in the same position in the mud. There are just some that recognize the MUD better than others. But that recognition does not make them BETTER than those who don't. So there is certainly time and place for reason, but you cannot use logic to fight emotion. Just look at the political environment today. Use the right tool for the right job and be willing to be malleable so that the light of Christ might shine through you. There is no pressure on us. We all suck in one way or another. Our submission and love to God will show itself truly through how we interact with others. It's not easy. There's certainly levels of maturity and training/discipleship that are necessary. We must each ask ourselves, do I WANT to know the truth, or do I want to do just enough to be awesome. Sometimes that question is harder than it needs to be, but we must always self examine. Are we trying to beat people into the kingdom? Ultimately it's their choice, and the tighter we hold on, the more they will resist. Wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Much love!

If one lives a "Christian" life, they generally have a family with children who are there for them in their old age and not alone. If not at least their surviving family, they will also live "after death" in the memories of the people they have affected positively. If the opposite, you don't create a family and act so your children love you into your old age, there will not be anyone at your funeral, the last years of your life will be lonely, and feel like absolute hell. We Catholics are Christians dude, all the other Christian faiths have derived from Catholicism. This is the meaning of the word Protestant, it's a word to describe those who "Protested" against the one and only original Catholic and Apostolic Church.
@Kipperbob2 жыл бұрын
@ethan pate there's a lot of nuance in the context of the acts that non Catholic people are missing, we do pray the Rosary dedicated to Mary the Virgin mother of God, we do not worship statues, that's just idolatry and a sin, we worship only God the Father the Son and the Holy spirit, the Holy trinity of God as Jesus taught. And some of us are not great fans of the current Pope, he's coming across as a bit of a Commie, we put the office he holds on a pedistal I will concede but not necessarily the man who holds it, a lot like the office of the president of your country, you can have respect for the office without necessarily respecting the man in office. and I will also admit that like all organisations made up of mortal men the church is not immune to their fair share of corruption. We are after all as all men mortal men born in sin. Including the man who becomes Pope.
@Kipperbob2 жыл бұрын
@ethan pate this is a lot of questioning, I do understand that Protestants disagree with certain aspects of Catholic religious practice, it's literally why certain sects of people Protested against the Catholic Church and formed their own Protestant churches, and probably for good reason in most cases, this doesn't negate the original assertion that we are still all Christians. Also which denomination of Christian worship do you belong to if any? I've had more cordial conversations with Jew's and Muslims where they don't just carry out an inquisition but converse in a deeper exchange of ideas in search of common ground. Like the lady Shakespeare wrote of, I think thou doth Protest too much, I don't feel like becoming the stone upon which the Protestant sharpens his pitchfork.

Oh sure, it had _absolutely nothing_ to do with all of the corruption, hedonism, and politicking of the Catholic leadership with their open refusal to fix said issues. No, that wasn't that all............ (Heavy sarcasm sarcastically implied) 🙄😑🤦♂️ You didn't even get the protest part correct. Nailing complaints on the Church door - the 'protest' of Martin Luther in question - was quite literally the commonplace thing to do at the time. The Catholic leadership refused to even consider these complaints, and only attempted to address these problems _after_ the Schism had already happened which a significant portion of Catholic congregations becoming Protestant. All in all, all denominations that aren't just in reality Heretical Cults (i.e. groups like the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses) were created through mostly _political_ disagreements within the Church. I mean come on, there was literally a denomination that was created just because someone p!šś3d off a Bishop - it got that petty at times.

Conflating the Church Universal (as that is what catholic means) with a group that sees (or we could say "saw" after Vatican II) as the only true Church is a mistake. ...especially when we look at history and realize the only reason they are *Roman* is because of the Great Schism and their view of the primacy of the Bishop of Rome/aka Pope in regards to the other bishops and "patriarchs" of what became the Orthodox ("true doctrine") part of Christendom. Protestants are sometimes very uninformed on the history. I learned it in my Secular HS in Humanities class in the 70’s. I’m in the northeast, so most people here don’t debate religion, just accept everyone for their beliefs. However, as a Catholic, I’m very clear the church of the Apostle Peter assembled the Bible and maintained the teaching Christ for 1400 years, prior to Luther. And then the softening of Christianity to a different path. I consider it Christianity Light. And much prefer the continuous miracles and teachings of the apostles via Jesus, as opposed to Luther or the Church of England.

The reason I'm telling you this is when he ask Jesus for forgiveness and what must I do to be with you (Jesus) when he dies. @@elindioedwards7041 The nation of Israel is much more cursed with a burden than it is exalted. It's not about their supremacy but rather their submission. They were given a King as a judgment for their idolatry towards Cain's civilization. They were given the law because of their lack of direct faith in God being enough to meet their needs. They will remain under a Hebrew King even in the millennial reign of Christ while the rest of the world governs its own affairs with nothing more than the willingness to pay respect to THE KING of Kings himself. Every Jew is afforded the opportunity to join the body of Christ. Do you think that they'll be happy to see the saved gentiles turned to glorified saints, governing their own cities, already possessing immortality and not think to themselves that they wished they'd have chosen different? You can believe that these things will or won't come to pass, but that's what the Bible says is going to happen. Nicely done, this method is a gracious one, and i love it. It's like when someone tells me the Bible is full of contradictions, and i ask them what the contradictions are, most of the time they can not answer. If they do, we research it. The word always wins. Spread the love...

A lot like trying to sell something. You get the person to admit to needing the item. Selling a father insurance by saying something like "Don't you want to protect your family?" I often stopped them in their tracks by answering "No." Thank you Devin for showing this. I will do my best to remember how to get the other person involved as opposed to just stating by beliefs.

When I get asked questions I try to explain why I believe that God is real I am I feel in my heart then they ask about Jesus Christ our Lord..I just say because God's word tells me that he sent his son so that we can make away to get rid of our sins. Of course then I will ask what and why you they think the way they do!?? I don't know every thing I do enlighten them. But I'm not going to judge them. I'm proud to say that most of the kids come back and boy they come back with more!? We are like the neighborhood Parents I love them all. That is my calling I to help out with children Thank God for helping us to answer the children. Praise God for his grace on them! God bless you and everyone

Glad to have found your channel. I am a Christian; and have been for decades-but what I never found was someone to disciple me until just recently. I cannot stress how important it is to learn about the Lord; His ways, The Word…but there is something extra helpful about having someone come alongside to help walk out the lessons the Bible teaches in practical ways through life.

From the age of five and up to the age of 68 years old, I had three out of body experiences, two through accidents which proved to me that there is a higher authority, a HEAVEN which I stood outside looking in at my mother laughing and happy plus Angles who are guarding all of us "REAL" Humans. First, we are Gods Children, so God holds us, Jesus his Son holds us, and his Angles watch over us at all times and will be standing next to us when we are judged. Believe me, the Bible does not lie. Everything it says in the Bible has come true and RIGHT NOW; "WE" are living in the last days before Jesus comes back. As a Mortician/Christin and an Alpha male, I have experienced so many life changing things that I KNOW there is a GOD and his son Jesus who will warm your heart and touch you if you will only ask.

Apologetics won't comment on this as they use logic! 😁 I believe we all have to let the Holy Spirit use us as He knows it all.

Thank God that I listened to your input on this video. God spoke to me when you recited that we should speak with grace, and at the time of me typing this, I've erred in being disgraceful in my speech towards others, failing let my actions/speech glorify God as a result. Here's to praying that the Holy Spirit will change the way in which I approach others from now on.

Most of the time we lack shrewdness in our approach when it comes to witnessing the gospel to others. That is something we need to bring back.

Mr.Gibson, you are SO DOWN TO EARTH, and I love and appreciate that about you, bro. I wanted to pause the video almost an instant after you started talking -- right when you were interjecting that it'd be good if you could speak English correctly -- but I knew it was going to be an especially important video with a message I needed to hear; so, I waited to say it. But it is just so great that you share the gospel so humbly, and yet, with such energy and positivity. I love it.

Speak Truth in Love. We’re meant to sow the seeds then trust the Holy Spirit to do the rest. Evangelization is not about recruiting new members but proclaiming the Good News and sharing your testimony.

Not going to lie, you choose very good debates or people explaining thier points. I will literally watch these videos in full , because I love how they express thier views while making it easy to understand thier view in full context. I also enjoy hearing your insights on these videos you post.
