Gonna throw in my prediction for the plot: Futaro and the Quints go abroad for his and Yotsuba’s honeymoon (somewhere tropical). While Futaro just wants to spend time with only his wife, Yotsuba encourages him to spend time with her sisters as it’ll be just like the old days and they may not get the chance to do this ever again as they all have their own independent futures ahead. Ichika is contacted by her agent to appear in an upcoming film which just so happens to be where she is abroad. While she manages to film most of her scenes, Ichika winds up getting sick/injured so asks Miku (who is the best at mimicking her sisters) to finish her scenes. While nervous at first, Miku pulls it off perfectly. There is also a baking/cooking competition going on near where they’re staying. Nino decides to enter. Itsuki signs up as a judge just so she can sample some free food. The story will end at Futaro and Yotsuba’s house. Futaro comes home to be greeted by Yotsuba and their five kids! This will be revealed to be a dream as Futaro wakes up. However it is revealed that Yotsuba is pregnant, though it is left ambiguous as to how many kids she’s carrying.

I can see Futaro forgiving her, but as a dude with a sister, I doubt that it's something he would be able to look past. Dating or marrying Ichika puts a wall between him and the others not to mention digs a moat around the wall she built between her and Miku. In the anime, it all happens too quickly for him to choose her without nuking the relationships. He had really good chemistry with the oldest sister, (better than him and Yotsuba), but it's a great example of chemistry alone not being sufficient for a meaningful relationship. Nino definitely likes him now, but he never seemed into the Idol stuff. Great girl, definitely put a ton of work into herself, and deserves the best of guys, but not her Fu Kun. As much as I like Miku and would absolutely have sparks with her, she and he have a lot less going for them. She can contend with him in one subject, and he's not a nerd for nerds sake like she is; he has a purpose to his studies and feels that he is otherwise a useless person. The connection for her there is cooking, and despite his list, I'm not sure there's enough there. Itsuki is his mirror, someone who wants to be good at studying and good at teaching but isn't, vs Uesugi who would rather be good at anything else. Yes, they could (and I think actually do) help each other achieve things, but it's a lopsided relationship, and one without a lot of chemistry. Yotsuba was the least hurt by his initial rejections, and has the most similar motivations, even stemming from the literal same event. They both became unhealthily attached to this goal of becoming useful and therefore special, and Yotsuba got seriously burned in the process. The fact that the same stimulus prompted the same goal, yet they are individuals with little in common as far as skills and interests go is actually the best sign for them to have a good relationship. And this all makes sense, as the author said 428 was based on his own wife, after all.

I sincerely hope that this movie focuses primarily on the relationship between Yotsuba and Footaro. I feel like that would patch some of the holes left in the source material. I would be cool with it if that was the focus even if the other sisters are around. protagonists getting together is just the first part of romance after all. Actually, you could describe it more as Act Zero with Act Two being all that leads up to marriage. In many ways, it is odd that this series is as popular as it is, but it is rather obvious why as well.

The second one is where you can change the ending of the movie, you confess to the girl you want and even get married to her, the first one is also good to get close to the girl you like, there is even a final third game that shows life after marriage, but that is not available in English yet.

@@Nathan-mx7rj The name of the third game translates to something like: “The QQ: Five Promises Made with Her”, but this one is only available in Japanese, you need to import or download from the Japanese eshop. A correction though, this game apparently takes place around 4 years after high school, during university, and shows the story of the marriage proposal. But if all you want to do is change the ending of the movie, the second game already gives you that, though hopefully they will localize the third game in the near future too.

They’re making a honeymoon movie since fans were pulled apart by the emotional roller coaster of their favorites and this gives us a chance to see life after the marriage. Or see if there’s anything weird that comes of it from the other sister maybe holding grudges or pain that might come out.

Honestly low key hated Yotsuba( no hate through to the loves) and was on team miko and nino or any sister at that just not her and feel they are robbing salt in my wounds because I was beginning to accept and now this. I don't care about a honeymoon arc why brings your sisters to a honeymoon anyways lf you are going to make a movie make it where we see our favorite girl endup with him or some else so I can be happy not a honeymoon arc where some hearts like me we be crying and don't even get to see who marries my girls at least give them boyfriends not someone's husband spending time with your sisters on your honeymoon 😡😡.
