How Farms Work Hey man loving your videos! Can’t get enough of them. Quick question though, I live in the uk and I want to start working in the farming industry but don’t know where to start. I understand things are different over here but you might at least be able to tell me where to start? Thanks!

Ryan can you please do a video over farm machinery road safety for cars on the road. We have had 3 people get hit this year one walked away with minor injuries, another one is in a coma and there was another one who got killed today. It’s so sad to see people getting killed and seriously injured. And all of that could be avoided if people would just slow down and pay attention.

@@User-inthemorning Thanks! I recommend looking at your local colleges for any ag jobs in the area. Our ag building at the nearby state college has a board for job postings. Another option is to look online. That's a good way to get your feet wet and get some farm experience! @Brady Cockburn She's still here!

Another great video Ryan! Love the Drone footage. You are getting very good with how you compose your videos , Congratulations! I was raised on a small farm but we were taught before ever connecting with a zerk we had to use a grease rag before and after greasing the zerk to prevent pumping any dirt into the bearing.

Ryan, just grease the lower half of your fifth wheel. It will cover the rest of it when you hook up to your trailer. Otherwise, it will scrape of and fall on the frame or on the ground. Less messy that way.

Something I do when changing grease is take out the old canister. Leave the plunger all the way forward, take the plastic cap off the new tub and push it against the plunger. Then use the new tube itself to push the plunger back by pushing it against a wall or work table, pulling just slightly on the handle to help it come out. Screw it back in the gun tightly, then slightly loosen it till the plunger moves up freely, (yours looked like you had to push a little bit to get it up). Then retighten. I have no idea if that’s a right or wrong way lol or if it makes a difference. But I’ve changed hundreds of tubes and I’ve actually never had to use the bleed valve. Ever.

I use to work in forest replantion specifically site prep work basically farming the woods for replanting. We used logging skidders but used them for spraying and trenching and some other things not for logging obviously. We had to grease the machine and attachments every 6 hours and each greasing we used up to 4 tubes. On the trencher was 3 tubes alone there was 2 grease zerks that took a tube each and 6 others that were 150 pumps per zerk! My boss would not allow us to use anything but old school grease guns no battery ones aloud he was Afraid of air being pumped into the trenchers. I hate it since we would grease 3 times a day 2 min. I couldn't blame himem because those trenchers were worth a few hundred thousand dollars worth more than the new jd skidders we used!

I think there going to become a little more popular but not much mostly because our familys has used John Deere and international harvester/caseih mostly ,so we keep using them because that's what we grew up around and our parents and grandparents kind of brainwashed us into thinking they are the best Because they are the best lol😂😂
@andrewbrummer95395 жыл бұрын

@@andrewbrummer9539 Oh yeah i totally understand you on that. We have been running MF on our farm for the last 30 years, but we are still having demo for other tractors. And what i am seeing as i get more involved in the more economics side of the farm is that i really dont care about the brand, just the cost and durability of the brand. We still are running MF here, i my self are trying to convince my father and brother to try out a smaller John Deere series, and a larger Fendt series. But we will see what becomes of it.
