He didn’t puncture the lung he had a collapsed lung. His chest wall filled up with fluid and the lung could no longer expand causing it to collapse. He had to have surgery to remove the fluid in his chest wall so the lung could fully expand

@@pyrochotic420 the injury to the lung is that it is collapsed, that doesn’t mean that there is a puncture in it though. What happens is an internal injury causes fluid to build up outside the lung between the lung and the chest wall. The more fluid keeps building up the more that puts pressure on the lung till eventually it cannot expand and it will collapse. So they had to do surgery to go inside and remove the fluid build up and place a drain to allow anymore fluid to drain out to prevent it from happening again.
