Mt panorama is as much a street circuit as if you took spa or Silverstone opened the gates and declared it public road for most of the year leaving it virtually unchanged. It's a bit trippy when you drive the road irl if you sim race the circuit, because the sim is so accurate and the track is identical to its racing guise you need to exert extreme willpower in order to keep your license, amd prevent a head on (like seriously, who made it 2 way?)

The closet thing we had race at Bathurst to formula one was a series called Formula S5000. Of course open wheel cars, fat rear tyres, low downforce, a beautiful V8 engine. I think it was a ford coyote engine but I could be wrong and had an F3 style chassis. They had a couple demo runs and eventually had a proper race meeting there in 2021. Down Conrod into the chase without DRS and the power of slipstream these cars did have massive accidents. Mostly because they tried to over take each other. Side note they reduced the power output in these cars after practice or qualifying. For safety since the power to weight ratio was let’s say ‘over the safety limit.’ It did raise a lot of questions in regarding to any open wheel racing series to race at Bathurst due to safety. There’s also been some big shunts in formula ford when they once raced there. We’ve seen a lot of touring car and GT3 crashes up there and some have caused injuries and unfortunately deaths in the past. Great video Josh and ah yeah. Skippy doesn’t give a F*** about things.

haha if the saudis would build their own Norschleife / Bathurst / Talladega,, the FIA would still give them a Grade 1 certification and host an F1 race there...

Josh doing his best impression of Zues carrying the world statue, getting us through this random break in the F1 season.

Josh.. the race today was a delight to watch.

Hey Josh would love to see videos about current and older F1 tracks that are in need of redisigns o changes to have better racing. The new aero regs work great for the cars, but some circuits are nos suitable for these wider and larger cars than we had before.
