They still do okay with what they have in comparison to someone like me who has a fox body what's roughly the same setup as the falcon only I've never gotten past the first round of anything in my life lol still learning to tune at the track myself I have nobody to show me the ropes so it kind of is what it is until I get more track and seat time... They could still take the win home on any given day it's just way harder at this point with the type of competition there is... Once he gets his new car lined out it will even the playing field for them... I think I'm going to build a new car for daily driver I'm never going to be competitive in small tire and I can accept that I just don't have the budget

@@freedomfox8183 That’s what sucks.. I don’t race, but personally the draw for me is watching how fast people can make a production car. It has a sense of relatable.. Personally I don’t think the people at the tracks at least have a clue what they are doing by allowing small tire transition to tube chassis, purpose built cars.. To me that should go to big tire.. Personally I think people with actual production cars should stand their ground and refuse to race tube chassis cars. They are going to ruin no prep in my opinion.. My personal belief is they don’t want to go to big tire due to the likes of Chief and the Crow. Granted he is beatable but would be a massive learning curve throwing money to win.. The move is ruining it for people like yourself.. I’m 💯 on your side and understand how discouraging it can be to spend all that money and people just going insane with unattainable for the masses. Hard to grow the sport like that.. Don’t know you from Adam, but something tells me if rules kept small tire production cars only you would more than likely continue to compete, improve, trying to get better.. But WTF is the point when people take it to another level you don’t have a chance.. Keep your head up and good luck..

Each one has their own strengths and weaknesses and Tommy is not short on his strengths at all, they are just different than the others but that makes the family that much more well rounded and stronger!! No reason to be jealous of him!! I’m proud as hell of the boy actually. He’s got amazing talents I wish I had but don’t and am too old to learn if all nowadays!!

needs more power sadly. a 550 to 700 something hurricane straight 6 isnt gonna cut it against a 2JZ even with some decent tuning. the reason for saying this is cause the fact its not only a new engine. but also a pretty wimpy one. some racers (like westen) chucked a rod out of em.

I had a '67 with a 3-speed when I was 16. No transmission jack.so I had it on my chest my mother was going to start the first couple bolts. I dropped an 'f' bomb and Mom was gone! I was stuck under that truck until she came back to ask if I was done cussing yet. 50 years ago, and I still think of my mom every time I am under a car! I also still use the same bolts with the heads cut off and slots cut in them she made for me to align a transmission.

I once watched two techs working on a huge forklift. The truck was down because of a bad flywheel ring gear. Trans and flywheel were removed and the junk ring gear knocked off the flywheel and ready for a new gear. After break the flywheel was bolted back on and trans reinstalled. Everything went very quickly and smoothly and when it was time to fire it up they quickly found neither of them had installed the new ring gear!

As a former trans tech at a Ford dealership, I was chatting with another trans tech as he was putting the finishing touches on an install on a Ranger… He let it down, poured a few quarts of atf down the fill tube and fired it up. He poured another few quarts in it as it’s idling and stops… he turns to me and shows me the stick… there’s atf about 5 inches up on the stick, not understanding why it’s way overfilled with only 6 quarts on a fresh overhaul. It was at that time I scanned his bay and asked him if he put a new converter in it… he said “NO”…. as I pointed to the converter laying on the bench.

Totally independent of your engine vacuum. Uncle Terry knows the piece we HIGHLY recommend it.
