This song is what I play whilst dramatically running through the corridors of Versailles and then rolling around on my bed crying into my designer pillows.

This was the soundtrack to the last summer before heading off to college, driving around back roads at the end of the day. Recall the lump the in my throat it would give me, trying not to think too much about how I was never going to have the freedom like I did in that present moment ever again.

what a beautiful song. it feels like yesterday that i introduced my significant other to this song and in a serendipitous moment as he was listening, he witnessed a shooting star falling towards my direction. we're in long distance but every time i hear this, it's as if it encompasses every warm feeling i had that night. not to mention that second verse as it's really touching for me.

The perfect night... Downtown Toyko, midnight and raining... In a sweaty subterranean music hall the Radio Dept. takes the stage for an intimate live show. The neon club, in all its avante-garde glory, is packed, mostly with locals, but a few internationals too. As I take a drag from my vintage pipe that my father bought years ago in his journeys thru Cairo, I sit back and let the music soak me over. The music is uncliched, honest, and brutally real. It's surreal. Happy and free I will be.
