Here is a little tip, i'm not sure you guys know of. Food and water fill you up more when you are more thirsty or hungry, and raw food does not fill you up at all if the bar is over 60% or around that number. That is why you can eat 5 potatoes when you are almost full and the bar wil not move at all, but if you eat those 5 potatoes baked when you are really hungry it wil fill you right up. Have fun with the rafting guys, it's a fun game, and it is fun watching you 3 going crazy with it.

Insym, the Sharks have a radius where they can track players centered around your raft. So if you anchor your raft on one side of the island, you can go to the opposite side of the island and you will be safe from the sharks. its really noticeable when you're resource gathering in a medium or large size island. Unless its a really small island, you need to anchor you raft a little far away and swim to the island.

Additionally, if you're anchoring away from the island and swimming to it, the shark will follow you. But if you go on shore it will lose aggro and default back to circling the raft, allowing you to gather all the resources unbothered

"Imagine pooping in front of the ship?" Well, fun fact. On the old sailing ships, crew had to use the area on the bow sideways from the bowsprit to do the pooping business :) Officers and captain had their own private toilets, off-course.

Good tip(s) what I learned myself. Fortifying the boat will prevent the shark to attack it, though if you destroy the fortified part, you won1t get the metal back. Also, when killing the shark, only take the 4 meat. If you take everything, respawn time is 3mins, leaving the body, it needs 5mins to despawn + 3mins to respawn, so you have 8mins for water exploration.

This video is so good. I laughed and cried at the same time. In the thumbnail Insym looks way to happy while watching his friends on a toilet. And the trash cubes. It is literally in the name. You are supposed to put you TRASH in there. Insym: Oh, we don't need that much metal I always love this first blind playthroughs, when nobody knows how to do stuff ;D

Maybe some more useful tips for beginner rafters - With , you can switch to third person and with . you can hide your UI or how it's called (Could be nice for thumbnails 👀) - If you wanna drag in the hook quickly (like when you notice you missed your throw or when the shark attacks the raft), you can press RMB and you have it back in your hand. Just works if you don't have any items already attached to the hook - If you have for example 10 planks, but you just want go give 5 of them to your friends, you can hold RMB (for selecting just one plank) and scroll on the mouse wheel to change the number of planks you want so select. Works for every item of course - If you need to craft something simple like ropes or the metal things and you have the necessary items in your inventory, you can just hover above the image of the crafting recipe. You should see a green plus, there you can craft it instead of always switching the crafting menus - Bruce won't attack the raft if there's no one chilling on it. Usually when you come back after some longer time, he'll attack very soon Yeah, that's it. Happy rafting

Guys, if you kill Bruce, just harvest the 4 meat (listen for the collection noise 4 times) and then STOP holding E to stop collecting, you won't collect the shark head (which is largely useless) which means the corpse will sit there. Bruce will take longer to reappear as you have additional time for the corpse to despawn. Where as if you collect the lot, body is gone, and he respawns faster. I know from playing the game, love it❤

I stumbled upon this jotification JUST when I thought "oh man, I want to eat and I got nothing to watch while I eat" Been waiting for this one since I finished watching the first one, this was an answered prayer! Also, you guys motivated me to start a singleplayer game of Raft Edit: 29:26 This, plus the fact that my PC doesn't handle the game very well, is the reason why I started my singleplayer on Peaceful difficulty. If it at least ran properly I could try playing Normal, but oh well.

Just found you recently and really enjoying the raft blind play, a little frustrating but really fun! No spoiler, but a gameplay mechanic, when you are crafting you don't have to go to resource tab to craft ropes or nails and such if a crafting recipe needs it you can craft it directly in the recipe if you have the ingredients. The raft is looking very nice, kudos to the builder. Tell him to make the paint mill, it will make his year! Thanks for sharing the fun!

Some tips if you're interested. (written at the beginning of watching the video, some things you'll discover on your own) For maximum efficiency, you follow the story to get the steering wheel. Once you can steer your just need a single plane of filter nets. You can extend the width to the full trash flow to clean the ocean. My rafts always end up looking like a biplane. you do want to minimize tiles on the bottom level, after you start building up. Lots of wood and nails required. There's a horizontal support beam which is game changing. Palm roof tiles are more resource efficient than stairs. your small plant plots can be placed on interior walls, which protect them from birds. you can stack like 5 per wall. potatoes an radishes are the only supercritical food sources. The average seed production for other foods and trees slowly deplete. It's very disappointing. I also always end up with a great wall of storage. a rows of chests for wood, palm, plastic, metals. Chests are the most efficient storage resource wise. Painting chests are very useful. Use flowers in the paint machine. You're essentially past the point of needing rocks, and you'll collect enough via barrels long term to meet any needs. Beyond that collect all underwater resources from islands. Clay is useful for food bowls, and making the furnaces. I usually end up with like 20 furnaces, but i do single player and have to minimize my micromanagement. I use metal arrows to take out the explody fish to acquire explosive powder, needed to capture animals. The arrows are recoverable. keep making plastic bottles. You need them for water and re-breathers.

As a connoisseur of survival, base building games, I absolutely love Raft. Every survival game has something that clearly differentiates it from other survival games and Raft offers such a chill survival experience where you can just take it slow, listen to the game's tunes, and chat with some friends (or twitch chat) while slowly cleaning up the Pacific Plastic Patch.

At 3:00:00 you dont need to make a shelf to place a chest on. if you hold a chest and move it against a wall it automatically places a mount. so you can have a wall of chests stacked several high. saves a ton of space on your boat.

Tips for later progress: You guys need to actually make a farm for beet roots and potato and also honey(by making beehive, you need to make sweep net for catching bees) for later progress Doing that can also give you a ton of food resources because you can make veg soup using 2 potatoes and 2 beetroots into the pot(but that is also gonna need more clays for bowl)..........................you can build more advanced purifier for watering farm. You can catch llama(for wool), goat(for milk) and chicken(for eggs) using net launcher(ingredients for that is explosive powder and you can get that by killing pufferfish without them exploding) Remember if you learn to make metal detector immediately create one so you can find treasure chest in island(any) As for that big bird who drops rocks you can kill it for meat and bird head(recommended weapon is bow but you can also use stones as throwing weapon) As for the raft you can build metal raft to edges to protect your raft from the shark(dunno if its shark-proof but you can do it for extra protection for the shark while you guys is away from the raft)

I’m still 2/3 of the way through the video, so you’ve probably figured it out by now. But now that you have three beds, you can sleep the night away. It’s useful for looting dark places like the boat. (I don’t usually make headlamps because they suck!) Loving seeing your play through!

Your previous video actually inspired me to check out Raft. I am already on the last story island and I admit turning my raft into a full fledged yacht was quite fun. My biggest struggle was wood - you need it for everything - furniture, tools, smelting, cooking, expanding your raft - and you need tons of it. The sooner you build multiple tree planters the better. I have 6 on my raft and it barely allows me to make ends meet. Watching you guys explore and learn the game was great fun as always!

Insym, around minute 37 you asked why the loot is only on one side. The loot spawn the way you sail, so if you will keep constantly turning the sail the loot also changes the way it floats. Ideally just set the sail one way and dont change it every time you see one single crate you want.

2 tips that I'm very disappointed your chat didn't tell you about while you were playing 1) shark respawn timer doesn't start until after it despawns, and they give you like 5 mins to loot it, if you leave the head and take the meat you still get the valuable food but also the added time of no sharks 2) you can craft ingredients in the recipe. For instance if you need a bolt to build something you don't have to go to the other page and build a bolt then go back, just click the red bolt icon in the recipe and build one, then complete the recipe (assuming you are able to craft the ingredient)

You should fortify a perimeter of planks around your raft to prevent the shark from attacking then build a line of planks and collectors that also get fortified to create a long bar of nets that collects everything you go by

You keep you inventory bar too full if things you don't need. If you're on the raft, you probably don't need the sheers or the shovel. The sheers are for sheering the domesticated alpacas to get wool. Goats provide milk, birds provide eggs. It you're exploring inland you don't need the fishing pole. If you keep your inventory open when you start exploring, you don't have to go back as often.

You guys can cook food that you don't have a recipe for. Since I've never played raft then I'm not spoiling anything. Try mixing a bunch of different fish or veggies and see what works. Not sure if it let's you cook a mystery soup if the ingredients don't match a recipe

my only complaint with raft is the garbage durability levels. it barely seems worth it when you spend a bunch of resources for a 10 min buff to swim speed or air.
