The reason they dont attach their names is for marketability. When a book series is owned by a company or is very large, they usually have multiple authors writing for efficiency and for the sake of consistency just have them use a pseudonym that fits the book series, like ‘Erin Hunter’ for warrior cats.

I adored this movie, especially because I could finally hear voices of characters I just imagined in my head and I finally saw them in color instead of black and white images. I've watched this movie on a hungary childrens TV station called „minimax“ which has its own localised version here in Serbia and the dub was also serbian. Nostalgic greetings from Serbia and lots of love. : )

The last projects that studio created were the animated short "the Cat that Looked at a King" which was attached to the 40th anniversary dvd of Mary Poppins, Mulan 2 and Pooh's Heffalump movie. However, only 35 out of the 101 employees became the driven force of the almost 20 year old studio!! I read a bunch of the books as a kid, and I thought they were okay, but it really bothered me that none of the fairies had their own personalities. Seriously, if you took one of those books and did a search-and-replace on the fairy’s name, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. I’m glad this movie actually characterizes the rainbow fairies, and I wish we had more movies that centered around the other fairy sets and gave them personalities too.

1:21 Usually when you're dealing with ghost writers, there's a main writer who came up with a varying amount of the plot/premise. From Jame Patterson's very hands off name recognition flood of books, to Applegate having ghosts writers handle the equivalent of off one episodes in the Animorphs series. However given there is no person actually named Daisy Meadows, it was likely done simply to keep all the books in one place in the library. Library systems have only really figured out that multi author franchises exist in the past like five years due to scholastic not using ghost writers but rather big names in kidlit for series like 39 Clues. Every ghost writing contract will be different about how much recognition the ghost writer gets. Maybe their name is inside the front matter of the book, maybe they're under an NDA to not speak about it. As these would be work for hire contracts, the ghostwriters don't own copyright over their work- the same way tv writers don't own the rights to the episodes they worked on.

Yep. The late Queen actually did make an appearance in Georgie the Royal Prince Fairy. Weird that she wore what she’d wear at evening events (tiara and evening dress) out in the garden under the sun, instead of the hat and coat one would expect, but I doubt the illustrator wanted to pay attention to detail. Lots of the books were dedicated to royal events at the time such as royal weddings, the births of royal babies, and the Diamond jubilee. Surprised they didn’t make any books related to the Platinum Jubilee. But there is one related to the Coronation.

Oh my gosh! I have been WAITING for someone to review this movie! I was a fan of the books as a tween and caught a little of this movie on TV when I was 13 or 14. I didn't grow up watching anime AT ALL so it was very different to what I was used to! I definitely remember the bully scenes and thought the script was really bad 😂 The voice acting was a lot better than what I remembered though! They even got Keith Wickham in to voice Jack Frost and I recall recognising his voice. (I would liken him to Britain's equivalent of Tom Kenny - he's been in countless shows, from the Octonauts to the Koala Brothers!) As for that snowman song...I did not remember it being that terrible! 😵💫 I hadn't realised at the time just how good the animation was for a cheap, straight-to-DVD movie. My guess is we can thank the Japanese animators for this! I also really like how they adapted the character designs without completely changing them. Oh...and I just thought I should mention. I swear I read somewhere that Georgie Ripper sadly passed away in around 2008,😥likely from cancer, but now I can't find proof of this anywhere. It would make sense though, considering that the company had to hire "ghost illustrators" from then on to imitate her style.

I saw this movie on the TV once by pure coincidence when I was a kid, and I fell in love with it. Later on I found two books of the series in my school's library, and I was overjoyed. I genuinely thought I was the only one who knew about this adorable movie, glad to see this isn't the case anymore!

Rainbow Magic was the book series that got me into reading. I literally read every Rainbow Magic book that was at my elementary school library, especially the special edition ones with 3 stories in one. I think I officially stopped reading them around 4th or 5th grade, but decided to read one of the rainbow fairy books again in 6th grade. It’s been about 4 years since then, but damn I’m surprised there’s a movie

I remember finding stray books from this series at extended-care at my old school...! It was always out of order, I never got to finish them, and I never knew what was going on, but I still really enjoyed reading them! 💜 The nostalgia hits hard😂

i loved these book as a kid!! they were awsome! i think i read till about halfway through the pet faeries also a couple of the specials i think i liked the rainbow fairies the most as they got to interact with each other more and jack frost was just bitter at a lack of invitation. he was seemingly reddmed in the end and the girls even got a cute magical snowglobe with all the rainbow fairies fairy dust floating around

No way i didnt realise how big of a thing rainbow fairies are, i was a little completionist and tried collecting them all, but it was way too hard, even though i bought every one i found.

MY CHILDHOOD, HAS BEEN VALIDATED. I LOVED these books as a kid and was sad when I read the only ones available in my elementary library.

Rachel is me fr. I always got like, 10 different fairy books from the library because they're so short. Recently I re-read one and I found I 'grew out of them', a big shame... Also, it was so hard trying to read all of the books from the same series... My irl name was on one of the books but spelled different and for privacy I can't say which. As for my online name, I'm the rainforest fairy, which I was content with, it was a good book. I was less happy about my name being on a book and more sad that it wasn't on a book I liked (There's literally an Arctic Fox fairy but nooo, my name doesn't start with A...) Omg, Kipper and Oswald being related in some way is the best thing ever. The jazziest shows I know.
