How much did the suspension work cost? Can you add air bags to this system. I have the same truck but also carry a truck camper sometimes. Thanks.

Kinda wished there was some shots of it cycling the travel over some bumps or something.

Looks incredible, Carli!!! I have a 2015 RAM 3500 with the 6.4L V8. I have done everything I can do with Thuren suspension parts and some Carli suspension parts, (Thuren Trac bar, Thuren sway bar, KING steering damper, Carli lifetime ball joints, Thuren coils, KING IFP 2.0 shocks on all 4, and a Full Thuren rear leaf pack) riding on 35's but I am still not happy with the way the rear end of the truck feels. What do you all suggest? This is mostly a work/daily truck on the highway. Occasionally hauling 15k pounds.

Lol. U have 90% thuren parts and ask carli what to do? What do u think they would say other than buy carli ?!
@nolenseymore32244 жыл бұрын
@@crazyhass84 , I understand but Carli was a little out of my price range. However, I dont see why that would exclude their opinion on what they could do for the rear of the truck, if anything. Thanks for your opinion though.
@thecarlisuspension4 жыл бұрын
Not that we'd be unhelpful intentionally but we can't really speak to Thuren's parts. Our Full Progressive Leaf Springs and Kings definitely clean up the rear ride of these Rams and I would hate to tell you to buy more parts. I would get in contact with Don and see if he could revalve the rears.

Is this truck a diesel becauseI I can’t find any gasoline tanks to fit in the spare tire location and I’d really like to add one to my 2500.

Yup, it's a diesel!

I’m surprised he had all this work done and didn’t opt for some hydraulic bumps
@thecarlisuspension4 жыл бұрын
flatblackandy there’s a 3-tube 3.0” bypass you front; it’s essentially a hydro-bump built into the shock so they’re not necessary.

This isn't an option that can be purchased through a retailer. It's something only done in-house by Carli as a special project given all the fabrication involved.

Just for laughs, anyone know what he’s got in this thing over the price of the truck? I’m gonna guess $70k. Hell, the labor alone would be astronomical. And probably worth every penny.

Last i heard the work can take up to 10+ weeks and with all the coilovers and everything was close to 20k if not more, if i remember correctly, just in the suspension side of it
@chrisj30974 жыл бұрын
20k for suspension, and probably another 15k for the tire carrier and the bumper/ lighting

As stated in the video, this isn't our truck and we're not wanting to run it in the dirt at speed to show it's capability. As much as we'd love to, we're going to leave that to the owner of the vehicle.

Looks solid there Carli. I like the design work. It is quite clean and low profile. What process is used for tuning the suspension? Does the tuning process involve accelerometers connected to a controller coupled into a software package much like we use in engineering when testing shock and vibe on military equipment? I know some guys doing Baja trucks go by feel / trial and error out on a certain track / terrain - they'll dial it in for that one type track to suit the end use application. I'd be interested to find out how tuning is done on the suspension. Just curious on methodology used in this application. Thanks, CM
@thecarlisuspension4 жыл бұрын
We're old-school; we tune by seat of the pants feel. Sage Carli has been doing this long enough to know exactly what changes to make to a truck by cruising it in several situations repeating the process until we've achieved the desired result.

lol but minewitha big ol diesel will run circles around your raptor and still be able to pull a 4,000 lb trailer, something I hear from raptor guys is impossible, let along one of my big 23,000+ lb trailers lol

@@stew1tx hardly will you run circles around a tuned raptor...also I tow a 7500lb trailer with ease for my buisness... The raptors towing issues is the soft suspension, they sag, they are made for off roading...I list put some sumo helpers in and pronlem.solved.

Needs to be lowered, would love to see the factory wheels back on There. Spare tire needs to be relocated somewhere else to make way for cargo. Smaller tires would improve mpgs for sure. Overall i dont guess i understand what folks are doing to pickups these days.
