Why is it no one mentions adjusting headlight point of aim? I for one am not comfortable with a little rear sag unless I can account for adjusting my headlights. I wish all others would consider that when operating a levelled truck or hauling a load that sags the rear end. Other Tham that well done and awesome product Carli is designing.

Great video and explanation. Will this work and maintain the factory payload (5400lbs) for a RAM 3500 dually or is that a different suspension tune?

We have a system for the 3500 DRW that is a different shock package (and tune respectively) that maintains the factory payload as the springs are not altered. I am thinking about this kit for my 2019 2500. I am guessing that if I ran it in conjunction with Air lift bags when towing I would be able to re level the truck under load?

Airbags aren't a great option for the coil spring equipped Ram 2500s. We recommend Timbrens as they're removable when not loaded to prevent the loss of uptravel.

We maintain the stock rear coils so no load supplements are needed. If that's a "must have" then you can add airbags or timbrens. We recommend Timbrens as they're removable when not utilized for load support.

We're not doing the air ride 2500, unfortunately. Hit up Top Tier Suspensions or CJC Offroad as they provide the parts needed to make our system work on that vehicle!

Can I expect the same kind of performance with the 2nd gen Rams and leaf springs?

The 2nd Gen Rams have short arms front and leaf springs rear. The ride will be very similar up front and, with the full leaf springs, similar in the rear. 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen rams can run our Long Travel airbags to supplement payload capacity back to factory with no sacrifice in unloaded ride quality or travel. I'd give the ride quality edge to the 2014+ and the hauling capability to the other trucks given their ability to run the bags. Very much in the same ball park, either way!

This will install on your air-ride rear but you'll need longer links to level the rear to the front. CJC Offroad has these links available.

Unfortunately, we do not have any retailers/installers in your area. My recommendation would be to purchase the system from one of our stocking retail outlets (carlisuspension.com/retailers/) and bring it to your local, trusted shop for installation. We provide detailed instructions with the systems so any reputable shop will be able to handle it! That said, we always recommend self-install if you have the time and mechanical ability. No one will care about your install as much as you will. 😊

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SRW short wheel base. It is a Quad Cab set up. I to a a camper that comes in between 9-10000 pounds. What suspension system would you recommend. I hunt out of this truck as well. It gets some off road use but not anything major. I am looking for a great ride without loosing towing capacity.

Depends more on hitch weight than overall. 5th wheel can be 10-20% of total trailer weight on the tongue. 10%, you'll likely be fine. 20%, you'll likely want to look into load supplements.

Is the plan now to change the gen 4 rams 3” front spring to the 3.25” going forward? I ask as I currently have the 3” version and I see your now marketing only the 3.25”. Any benefits to going to the new spring? Any update on the ram 3500 air bags? With my 5th hooked up, I’m squatting 2-1/4” in the rear with the 5 leaf add a pack and looking to fix that.

Hi John, The 3" coils provide 3" on the Mega Cab, 3.25" on a QCSB and about 3.5" on the SCLB. We changed the way we market it at the Quad Cab seems to be the most common application. Nothing has changed in the manufacturing of the springs. The airbags were released last week! Carli Suspension Carli Suspension Hell ya!! The bags are alive👍🏻 I’ve been bugging CJC about them. Can’t wait to get them and fix the sag ass condition. Ya I have an 18’ megacab so that makes sense. Next year I’ll move up to the full rear spring pack and big boy shocks. How does some get the coilover & bypass front shock setup? Is that only installed direct with you guys?

The Leaf springs are capable of more travel than the shocks allow. The rear shocks are 11" travel cycling at an angle to allow 13" at the wheel, all of which the airbags will cycle.

Carli Suspension, my 18 Ram 3500 limited has rear airbags but still has a pretty harsh unloaded ride. The Carli system ordering scheme is confusing for my setup. Lots of options to the pintop system but no clue what is recommend vs required.

Totally understand what you mean, though - the product line, being performance based, is a bit complex and takes some reading or a phone call to grasp the way we laid it out. That said, the base kit, CS-DPT25-13-D-ALAS, includes all components needed for the front suspension and rear shocks, then the rear springs, CS-DFSP-19-D-ALAS, are listed an auto-selected as they're required. This is the leaf springs kit and all rear fabricated parts to complete the suspension system. Lastly, you need to choose an option for the sway bar, either drop brackets or our replacement torsion sway bar. The rest are ALL options, nothing more is required.
