were you able to eat it all in one sitting Max? :) The meals I make mix together about 1 and 1/3 cup dry food to about 2 cups (maximum) boiling water and they generally fit (barely) in a slightly lighter sandwich size zip lock. I definately like not needing to wash dishes afterwards.

Glad you liked it... Some dislike all the sodium in it... but if one is not using it for a steady diet you will sweat it out on a good hike.

Update 6 years later: Next time fold potatoes in half and use one of those long potato chip bag clips for in the middle. Then you can tear bag easier because you do not have to focus on keeping bag folded.

I recomend cold soaking the vegetables for a couple hours so they rehydrate, i put them in a small container filled with water at lunch and then by supper time they are soft
@HikeCamp5 жыл бұрын

Very good, wondering is there a reason you put the potato in later?
@HikeCamp6 жыл бұрын
I put the potatoes in last so that the ramen and the dehydrated veggies re-hydrate faster if they have lots of water The potatoes seem to suck up all the water and you get some crunchy ramen...or you can put the potatoes in with the rest and wait longer to wait longer... lol

One thought- You could make a cozy for your Gatorade container and rehydrate it all in the same container, even with the freezer bag to line it like you had it. Just a suggestment =)
@HikeCamp6 жыл бұрын
Actually a good idea. I just need to find a bit larger container. I just does not all fit in the Gatorade one I tried. It also expands to much to go in the 25 oz cook pot as well. Time for some junkyard engineering...lol
