The Ramones' 'Judy is a Punk' - Ukulele - Jez Quayle

This song was written by Joey Ramone, and was the fourth track on side 1 of The Ramones’ first album, ‘Ramones’ - released in April, 1976. The first line of the song came about after Joey walked by Thorny Croft, an apartment building that Joey said was "where all the kids in the neighborhood hung out on the rooftop and drank. " The second line came about after walking down a different street. The lyrics refer to two juvenile offenders in Los Angeles and San Francisco and their possible deaths at the conclusion of the song.
