Hey brother Mike. The female lead in that movie was one of my former hot photography models, Shawn Michelle Cosby. Incredible dancer and teacher of dance as well as actress. I went to the premiere of “White Men Can’t Rap” in Philly back in 2005 and it was a packed house. I have photos from that night. I even have footage that I obtained from Shawn. That said, I thought the movie was terrible on every technological and creative level. The script, acting, editing, audio, you name it. I left wondering why Powell and Greer took part in it. Remember, Powell was one of the stars of “Ray” opposite Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx the year before. I also wondered how the director raised the money to produce it. His post premiere Q&A wasn’t very revealing or coherent to me. And the Ranch Dressing part was Amos & Andy like. Shawn told me that she threw up after many takes of her eating cereal with real Ranch Dressing on it. I enjoyed supporting my friend but that movie wasn’t worth seeing for free. Just saying.
