I'm from the Atlanta area. In 1999 my wife and I were in Annapolis Royal in a restaurant and the background music was this folksy sounding group that I didn't think I'd ever heard before. I asked the server who they were and she looked at me like I was from another planet ... "Gosh, that's the Rankins." We went home with several of their CD's and still enjoy them. A true diamond that we didn't expect to find. The restaurant is gone now, but like Jimmy's music, the memories linger on.

Gee, I miss John Morris. He was a very dear man, and a brilliant musician. This footage is absolute gold!

I've loved them all since I was 15 on every album and even spoke to their parents and shortly. Thereafter, the parents passed away and I always kept tabs on them, and it was kind of sad, but at least if you look it up, there's a handful that are still alive. They're still trying to be upbeat with the music.
