Let's take a guy who isn't pound for pound on your list, a guy who has lost a step and a half, and will probably hang 'em up. Loma. He hasn't been on anyone's P4P list in years, and his skills have eroded considerably since his prime. Agreed? Of course you agree. Now, true or false? They grew up together, travelled thousands of miles together, trained thousands of hours together in the same system, were taught the same things by the same coaches (up to the point where one of them was more proficient learning more, high level skills), are close to the same age and Usyk has NEVER BEEN A BETTER BOXER THAN VASIL LOMACHENKO. Not for any measurable time in their lives would Usyk say he is a more skilled boxer than Lomachenko. He wasn't when they were fifteen years old and HE ISN'T TODAY. He is outboxing guys in the two worst divisions in the sport. He has fewer skills because he doesn't need them to win at cruiserweight and above. Usyk is a hall of famer & one of the best cruiserweights ever, has proven to be the best heavyweight of this generation. DEFINITELY! Mentally strong, yes. Disciplined, sure. Take his skills down to 140 lbs to fight 140 lbs Crawford; well, he'd embarrass himself. Remember Bud vs Postol? Another guy who spent time in that system (admittedly less of a parallel than Loma), but a boxer with more skills and power at that weight & Terence washed him. I do think, now that he's taken his foot off of the competitive gas, and he just doesn't fight enough at his age to remind everybody what a generational talent he is; it is probably time to take Crawford off the list entirely, especially if his next fight is 168 or bust. It isn't possible to have the balance, coordination, reflexes, etc that he had for so long with the addition of mass after the age of 35. He didn't have all of it at 154, and looked "careful" at times. He's my favorite of all time and best I've ever seen, but he'd need gear to fight Canelo at 168 & I'd rather not see him do the Leonard-Hagler thing on the bitch-on-his-bike side of things
