Madrimov is a better example of a fighter who could mess Boots up at 54. Had you even watched a Murtazaliev fight before the tszyu one? You'd be in the minority if you had - believe me he wasnt that impressive. No doubt a large reason why Tszyu was so terrible that night was baded on what hed seen! Fact is we don't really know how good Muratazeliev is yet. Boots may get more pop at 54, more juice in the tank at 54 and might start using his jab more.
@BsBasicBites10 күн бұрын
Dude. Boots has a problem with his feet and by proxy with lateral movement. Angles led to Karen landing that 3 way too often. a (dumb) midrange jab also was a problem, and after the 6th rd, he left himself square when initiating his own offense at times. Tape doesn't lie. Maybe his feet will be better at 154, but I think his opposition may see him as food. Good luck in the big fight.

Why are people so critical of Boots? Let me break it down like a fraction… Vergil Ortiz did not look good in his last fight. Many people thought he lost. Bud did not look great against Madrimov. Many people thought he lost. Shu Shu Carrington did not look good against his last opponent. Almost everyone thought he lost. And Shakur Stevenson did not look good against Edwin De La Santos. At the end of the day Boots looked better against Karen than all the fighters I just mentioned in their last fights. Yes it may not have been his best performance but nobody questioned whether or not he won and he scored a knockdown! The moral of the story is sometimes boxers have an off night at the office. It happens it’s boxing. You are not going to knock everyone out. People who are now calling him a bum or exposed are just casual fans who know nothing about boxing. Regardless of what all the haters say he still beats everyone at 147. Point blank period!

Beautifully said, we shouldn't be too hard on boots. To be honest I knew he was gonna have a tough time in the rematch against the Ukrainian guy (I forgot his name). He was no joke, I knew he was gonna come in with a lot more confidence than in the first match. Over all it was actually a really good fight. And it's so stupid how despite it being a good fight and people enjoying it as a Good fight. They just shit on the more popular fighter. It's like saying the canelo vs Ryder fight. Look, canelo did not look Great. But holy hell was the fight good. No clinching, pure punching and great infighting by ryder. But in the end people don't see as a good fight cuz canelo(the favorite) didn't look as good as he should have. Boots has great potential, and it's not gonna be visible every fight. Some fights will look easy (then they tell him to fight better people). And some fights will be harder( then people will say he wasn't as good as we thought he was.). Overall that's just boxing. It's more of an art than science. Cuz in science everything must be a fact to be real. But in art even the most talented painters can mess up. But the thing is that artists can make art from their mistakes. But You can't make something go past the theory stage if it fails. Thx for reading my yap session if you did. I'm surprised that no one mentioned the horrible job done by the corner. You'd expect a solid trainer like Ennis' father to give some tactical advice; rather than the incessant, "get em' outta the there". I believe I could solve boxings problem... They should just have a super champion tournament for all the belts with the top 12 fighters in each division. Have a set purse for each rd... Example rd.1) 2mil, rd.2) 4mil, rd3.) 6mil etc. Each fighter is guaranteed the money, plus each promotion will host each rd... The winner of the tournament becomes the Grand Champion, then goes on to fight for Undisputed... For example, the winner of 130lbs fights the winner of 135lbs at a catch weight for Undisputed and 50mil that each major promotion will put up a share of the purse for each rd n the championship. Match room, PBC, Top Rank, Golden Boy, n Pro Box. Then they should take each undisputed champion over seas and fight the best champions to become the World Undisputed Champion... I know it's a lot, but that's just where my mind is when it comes to this.

Eddy Hearn said that they spoke about his weight prior to this fight and he said he can keep making it comfortably. He also didn’t look tired. The issue was Karen’s movement and angling. Boots footwork wouldn’t allow him to counter that which is why you saw more rough housing as he was smothering to counter the movement.

It’s not going to be easier for Boots at 154 (LMW). If Karen can do this to Boots a 2nd time then some of the guys that Jaron says are avoiding him will be able to really perform well against Boots. Also, not enough people are given Karen his dues. He’s a really hard guy to look good against.

Ennis is a hype job. He not beating anyone at 154 division.

I don't think it's better to wait until you face hard opposition. Boxing involves a lot of muscle memory, why get into bad habits. We all saw what happened to H20 Sylve.

What happened in Vergil's last fight? 🤔

Boxing is a weird sport. Casuals give Ryan Garcia so much shit, but Boots is one of the most defensively irresponsible fighters I’ve seen who is rated highly. He took so many shots and blamed it on the quality of his opposition. Against a slightly bigger puncher or elite opposition he would have been made to pay, probably getting dropped multiple times. If he don’t work on his defense, he gonna get dropped badly one day and its gonna be ugly, just like Tim Tszyu. Hope he really shows up for his next fights

Boots eats left hooks, I could see garcia actually pulling that off now.

That’s crazy how the internet turn on fighters one time is what Crawford scared and ducking Boots now all of sudden Virgil Ortiz who look terrible last fight would smoke Boots
@gerryb6369 күн бұрын
Bottom line is he's the champ and he won. If Boots KO'd Karen it would have not made a difference. Eddie Hearn needs to set up the unification fights for him at 147. He should have signed with PBC in order for it to happen.

Virgil arguably lost his last fight now we gonna rate him so high what a joke

So you are saying boots would be better with a bigger and better name but he can't get rid off a bam? What are you saying 😂
@joeblowschmo754210 күн бұрын
Crawford didn't look good against his last opponent the same way and shawn porter hit him A LOT so much so that if he didn't stop porter he would've lost FACTS so to just jump and say boots isn't ready for him is ridiculous they are boxers they need to box.
@ray_chael2910 күн бұрын
Crawford came out on another level , he avoided about two three punches from Porter and nailed him down .

Can somebody answer why is most people making excuses for boots about weight and all the experts are saying he must improve or he gonna get killed at 154

Thing is boots isn't gonna fare any better against the bigger, stronger dudes at 154 in that they'll push him around & pummel him, he should take a tuneup to get weight acclimated before going in there with ortiz. Ortiz will come after boots & bully him I see boots retreating from vergils pressure.
