Fun fact, Mario's modern personality of being a gentle, honest man came from when Martinet first voiced him. He was supposed to tell the player they needed to start again if they failed, but he deemed it too out of character for him to belittle who might very well be young kids, so he instead said, "That was pretty good, but let's see if you can do even better!"

My favourite one has got to be Fortune Street because (aside from Hotel Mario) Mario has full conversations with other characters. And I really like his personality and the dynamic he has with other characters (also at one point, he calls the die his best friend.) Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if they make Mario talk again (and by talk I mean in text dialogue. I’m ok if he doesn’t speak full sentences) as long as he’s not the protagonist. Also, in Super Mario Party if you try to talk to Mario then Toad will talk for him. In my opinion, I think he should’ve talked there.

It is very rare for the man in red to speak full sentences in official Nintendo games. There's a good reason why Mario is a silent protagonist; he's more of a man of action. I think that he has captioned dialogue in a museum found in Game & Watch Gallery 3. He also speaks extensively in some promotional videos from Nintendo, namely a press conference for Mario Sports Mix and a demonstration for the Nintendo 3DS. Besides that, you covered a lot of the bases. Nice video.

Fun Fact: Charles Martinet and Marc Graue voice acted in one game together: Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Funnily enough, the one who references Mario is the Plumber, a recurring beloved character in the series. While Orvus and Mr. Zurkon don't make a single reference to the red plumber. Sure, logically, the Plumber makes sense to make a Mario reference, but why in Crack in Time and not the games beforehand? In hindsight, Orvus should've made a Mario Galaxy reference (I recall the time I worked together with the goddess of space) and Mr. Zurkon a Hotel Mario reference (I have reserved a room for you. It's called Room K-177).
