It’s crazy how tough carp are, there are a lot of bowfishermen around here and I’ve got many carp that have ridiculous wounds and holes in them and they just survive and don’t even seem to be phased by it. Great vid, cool looking gar 👍

Awesome carp are so much fun to bring in! Great you caught a rare one glad it was you guys at least you know he's safe!! I seen some comments as to why you put carp back I sure hope you inform them they are not harmful to our systems. I am so glad I have not caught a asian carp it would be so hard for me to just even kill it. Yes I do keep fish once in awhile and have a fish fry but to just kill anything for no reason it not what I am about love watching

I was waiting for part 3 😂 Yeah carp get HUGE where I live in PA, I had one, at least 2 & 1/2-3 ft long on my line, 8 lb test on a small mouth bass rod I used, a really nice carp on corn and I fought that thing for almost 2 hours. I finally got it in to the riverbank and my younger cousin Ryan, who was maybe 12 had never been there, or did much fishing so I asked if he wanted to get it in the net for me since I'd been fishing from the time I was in diapers. I always fished and released too unless the neighbors were hungry for the catfish we would catch at night on crawlers or stinky chicken livers set out in the sun all day 😂 So Ryan went to get it in the net, all it did was roll or twist, and the line snapped across it's dorsal fin and bye bye 😱😭😂 But man they were fun to catch for sure. They just took off in a straight line like they were never coming back 😂 River fishing will probably always be my favorite and I've caught some nice channel & flathead cats, they feel like you have a tank on your line 🤠👍🏻 So much fun and the fish live to fight another day. Looks like y'all had a blast and it would be beyond epic if I could catch a nice big dinosaur gar myself. Seriously cool fish, I'm so glad they weren't all eradicated. As always, good stuff and I always enjoy watching. 😃🎣

The "Croc" Gar is awesome. Love to catch one of those and a monster Flathead... I'd have to go 2hours south to have a Flathead and possibly buy a PA license too . Nowhere near Alligator Gar range.

Why do you guys put all the fish you catch back? I get the carp because they are invasive and not a good eating fish. But I've seen you land some real monsters just to put em back. Sorry for the dumb question. Just not sure if they are all bad eating or if you just fish and release for fun.

Smaller fish can be better eating sometimes, and there's more of them so why not. If you catch a pig and land it, you've caught it. But.. if you let it go you could try to catch it again.. I don't let carp go either way but to each their own. They're unbelievably thick around here, and pretty gross for personal eating regardless of the size.
