The German VK 45.01 (P), or the Porsche Tiger as most people know it, is a rare sight in War Thunder. It trades armor effectiveness for a bit more mobility, but it's still pretty fun. I'm surprised it isn't more expensive on the Gaijin marketplace.

Constant full uptiers are a feature, not a bug. Gaijin has confirned it is an intentional choice of the matchmaker to full downtier four people on each team and full uptier at least half of each team.

It is known already that you typically only get 3-4 downtiers for 10 battles on average, but thats not the case for 6.3-6.7 for past couple of months, you'll get one downtier in 20 battles at best if at all, spending the rest playing 7.3

@@ayanamikai because 7.3 is overcrowded with morons using one or two 7.3 vehicles and then a bunch of rank rank 2 stuff to fill out their lineup. The matchmaker will give you more downtiers if you have a bunch of garbage in your lineup, or if you squad with someone who doesn't have the right BR vehicles. So you get uptiered against one death leavers in Leo 1s and IS-3/6 who literally can't get a kill unless they face 6.3

It is honestly incredible how every single Br gets uptiered constantly. Changing and carefully considering your lineup to be put in a match against vehicles with Br that you avoided (at your own hinderance) is yet another frustration that is unmatched in any other experience. @@michaelstjohn6086 Yah I believe it. Feels alot like being "fed to" seal clubbers too. Level 100 players with maxed crews makes it pretty difficult in a straight up battle, and all together seems like Spook said.... Like Gaijin actively try to make us not want to play. Good luck out there!

That thing is insane. You can kill IS-3s from the front. Eat marders, BMPs, Leopards, etc for breakfast. I've gotten four kills at 7.3 just being an absolute bastard with the bloop tube

You should play the British tier 2 Sarc MKVI 6Pdr. It is very fast ( I call it the Super Awesome Race Car ). It has the British 6 pounder and is very good for 3.3. It goes by no armor best armor and if you get shot in the turret you die no matter what ( 3 crew, 2 in turret). It’s got a .50 cal on top for AA and shredding milk trucks. It’s funny because it recoils a ton, and no matter what will land on its wheels probably to counter the recoil. I also think that the crusader II is fun. It’s I think 2.0ish and is super fast, good fun and I believe ( in a British tank) APHE. it is great for capping points, running along the sides and flanking the enemy.

The Sarc 6pdr is good at it's BR. Like really good. Not many oneshots with it but it does the job. Good line up with the Achilles and a 3.3 plane.

They only let 4 players per side be a full 1.0 BR above the lowest players, getting a full downier is significantly less likely than a full uptier because of that.

That's the case in theory, but it simply doesn't work that way. You usually get a couple poor guys in a full uptier while the rest are .7 above. Sure there's only 4 that are a whole 1.0 above, but that's just the difference between fucked and mega-fucked. Even then it doesn't always work out that way, you often see full 1.0 spread across the entire team

Honestly, not the worst when played as a bonk n go tank. Excellent reverse speed has saved me far more than angled armor on both the VK45.01 and the Tiger P premium, plus the gun is still as good as its brethren (not to mention extra rewards in this Wal-Mart of an economy…)

Ironically this Tiger which was what Ferdinand intended for army to use, didn't see service and all but one were finished as heavy TDs that, in typical German fashion, were misused as assault guns performing rather poorly. Meanwhile that one tank that actually saw service, was not intended to, but due to shortage of actual Tigers ended up uparmored and pushed into service as essentially a mobile command bunker.

Hey Spookston! At 8:08 you went to the map to spot the enemy for the whole team, while you can do that without even having to open the map menu! Hold "Alt" and then with your mouse cursor click on the spot on that little map in the bottom right corner where you want exactly to spot the enemy.

I debated with a friend (and in comments) that thing where a 88 mm cannon can penetrate a Jumbo frontal plate, on distance, but never at short range. It also never happened to me with the 75 mm. My theory was that on "distance" a low velocity projectile "curve" reducing the effectiveness of the angle. The theories in comments are that the 88 works better against multiple armour plates on distance, because it's heaver than the 75 that has more penetration but on single armour plates. My friend theory was that the jumbo plate is modelled with "errors" and it has "zero armour" pixels that you can hit if you are very lucky.

This was the event that broke me on this game, a whole month of grinding only for the last achievement to be wholly based on luck, 3 games won while placing first in the team in a row. It was 100% based on chance based and the reason the vehicle is super rare. This was before you could buy milestones with gold. I didn’t okay WT for 2 years after that.

Yes other countries also spam cas but not in the massive volume's as US cas spam's the most since every fighter in the tt can double as CAS and is used in that way... How often I have seen a US main which spawned 1 tank, died in it and then wreaked havoc in a plane doing cas, get's shot down and proceeds to spawn another cas 5 more times (because they always have 3-4 planes in their lineups with back-ups).. Next to how US cas just immediately wins the game because anti-air does not fucking work if there is 5-8 different planes up all doing cas, destroying your ground units and anti-air

The only 2 advantages this has over command version, is the fact you have **slightly** higher speed limits (it's like an extra 3-4kph forward and reverse, really doesn't matter) and 5.3 instead of 5.7 it's really not that good other than "I have a tank that goes for 200 gjn"
