strawinsky.net I own NOTHING, but i thought i should spread this song too, not only the Globgogabgalab one, and opinion here, the movie has bad animation and awkward pauses, but it is NOT a bad and incompetent movie, see the Making-Of of this movie on it's site, it explains a whole lot! (even mentioning FNAF's Scott Cawthon as inspiration, and that's was way before he made FNAF) And the people were a small group, they do deserve more attention, i mean, the story is good and the songs are catchy, i would say they did a great job! strawinsky.net

To be fair, Rat King's song was my favorite. Plus, his design is as well. It's pretty decent for what Hope Animation had, and his song is actually pretty catchy. The actor for the Rat King has a great voice for villan, and that just makes this all the greater.

I think the Rat King is meant to represent atheism, which as this movie presents is pursuing personal desires rather than that of the great Elohim. Evidenced by how the globglogabgalab (a creature who does whatever he wants and suffers from this) was presumably turned into what he is by the rat king and how the violin was convinced by the rat king not to worship him but to play their own tunes unguided by Elohim.

Tremble in fear my child follow me into everlasting night I am your fiercest foe oh how frightful terrifying is the Ratking’s evil might. Man this film had potential, potential that was bloody wasted. This film was actually based on a German Children Book series, and out of all the books from the series they chose to adapt it was the third one. This explains the whole Lack of Lore. Not to mention the film was created by an inexperienced animator (David Hutter) who was also a bit of a Toxic Christian, I’ve heard, this film could’ve had a decent plot. Also I’d change the Animation style and character designs, go for something that’s hand drawn and has a similar art style to Disney Renaissance films or Don Bluth, it doesn’t help that in the end credits they show illustrations from the original book that is just pure evidence that this would work in hand drawn. The songs are decent as we see here, if they had a stronger orchestra I’d say this song would be on par with stuff like Be Prepared or the Dark of the Night. That doesn’t mean that the studio that created this project (Hope) has created nothing but trash, I’ve actually seen some of their other features that Scott Cawthon worked on, mainly stuff like the Pilgrim’s Progress and Noah’s Ark, sure the animation is outdated and has rough, jagged movements but they aren’t heavy with symbolism or propaganda, have a decent plot and have some appealing designs (seriously look no further than Apollyon from the Pilgrim’s Progress) But yeah, this studio can definitely create decent projects, it just depends on getting the right people to do it.
