My Scorpion & my lads ultra have both been delivered to ratworks today for a full tune, tench reg & full barrel shroud. And its thanks to your vids that I chose ratworks. Both rifles are already superbly accurate with qys heavies for the ultra & aa field for the scorpion but they are both 2nd hand rifles so the cost of the ratworks work & the cost of the rifles works out at around the same as a new scorpion & ultra. Can't wait to get them back.

Dawid Dadun was my partners sons account that I wrote from that I was getting my lads ultra & my scorpion ratworked. This reply is from my own account hence the different names. Ok...a follow up report on our rifles. My lads ultra occasionally didn't fire after cocking. Its a multishot so had to be recocked which meant a double load. After trying the gun myself & having the same thing happen I had a look at the trigger & found that the trigger had been set so light that the sear sometimes didn't engage with the hammer. Basically the trigger had been set dangerously light. I adjusted it & it's been fine ever since. Now, the accuracy. Neither gun was any where near as accurate as they were beforehand. We just couldn't get consistent accuracy. It was so annoying & disappointing. We just hoped that they needed to bed in after the tune but no, they just wouldn't group. After checking all the usual suspects...scope mounts, bolts, mag etc I suspected the shroud may be the culprit. I took mine off first & went to my shoot. Lo & behold it was back to its old self. Took my lads shroud off & on friday we went to test them & both of us shot the best groups we've ever shot through the guns. My lad put 10 qys heavies through a bullseye made by a bingo dabber that I use to make aimpoints..maybe 10MMS diameter. All shots inside the bull. And I put 5 air arms diablos through a hole only slightly bigger than a 177 pellet. All groups shot at 27mtrs. Superb. So to sum up...the trigger set up was, admittedly,a bit worrying, the shroud is, from our experience, not recommended. But the guns now shoot fantastically so the reg & tune is definitely recommended. I'll be contacting ratworks about the shrouds cos they cost me 100 quid each & are now basically useless unless we only want to hit roughly where we're aiming. This is our experience & I understand others may have had a different experience. It hasn't put me off from using ratworks again for tuning though.

Hello again from Canada Si. You have created quite a piece of kit Si. As impressive the gun is, the shooter behind the gun is amazing also. Well done mate, I am still a .22 cal shooter, but this could make me look again at the .177 cal. In Canada we are not hamstrung by any ft.lb regulations. So for me, the 22 or 25 cal is my preferred caliber. TY so much fro sharing you gun and talents. I love this channel! I almost feel sorry for the vermin....almost...LOL!

Hi Si & Davey, What can I say but astonishing!! Your review was both comprehensive and unbiased. Detailed description of the work undertaken was easily understood. Most importantly you demonstrated the results in both a range and field environment. TOP MARKS!!!

Beautiful little rifle with stunning performance to match. I have a little bog standard ultra se single shot and i cannot fault it one bit for accuracy straight out the box but yours is on a different level altogether. Cant wait to see it in a full on hunting video mate. 👍

Hi Si, I really enjoyed that video, being a very good shooter rather than purely a journo brings a quality to your vids that many lack. Phil has done a great job there with that rifle, stunning work! I am quite proud it has some of my parts in it. Well Done.
