The Ratboy Genius Iceberg Explained! (Complete)

I love Ratboy Genius and I always have. I figured a Ratboy Genius iceberg had to have been made, but I could not find a complete version. The Ratboy Genius KZbin channel recently turned 17 years old this month, So to commemorate this, I put took matters into my own hands and made a video of one myself.

As a ratboy genius fan, it reminds me of unfiltered childhood imagination and wonder and as a technological standpoint, it feels like it’s an old 90’s lost media computer series that was recently found. A series that everyone would say it “scarred me as a kid” but once unearthed, turned out to be a whimsical show with just strange visuals and voices. It’s lowkey a comfort show

Ryan said the galactic superheroes would always stay 2D, to make them more distinct from the other characters. And by that I mean the original trio, since every other galactic superhero has only had a 3D model (unless you count the artwork from the gift shop). Sue healing Bob's arms probably refers to her power she demonstrated in the third episode of galactic superheroes, in which she heals a fish eater that had been torn into little pieces.

I just came over to commend you for putting together a *monumentally* superior explanation video than the schlock fest of over-exposed filters and monotone tts voices that was mine! I don't know if I'm more surprised that my channel got featured by someone else for the first time ever, or that your channel only has 178 subscribers! (In all seriousness, the amount of quality presented in the editing, script/delivery, and branding is worth _at least_ 10-20k. Straight to the point will almost always beat long and analytical for videos like these.)

Of course, I wouldn't want to steal topics from other creators verbatim, but the original iceberg videos were over 2 years old at the time of me making this, and I picked a different iceberg just to be sure. while looking around i found a video called "Ratboy Kingdom Party Invitation" not even on Ryan's channel, rather on a channel called Ad Hoc economy, the video shows Ratboy Genius (in his RK-4 3d model) visiting a group of people's house and organising a party where they will watch the Happyman Opera. it is unknown if the event ever happened, and it is nowhere to be seen on the wiki. It is entirely official however, due to RBG's custom text-to-speech being used. He is also unusually aggressive in the video. You can find it by searching the title

Electric Universe was definitely something Starship Genius went into in Ep 3 "Cosmology and current events". Happyman even called Dark matter a "Mathematical Canard". Which means he's skeptical of it's existence. Just as the proponents of "Electric Universe" are. Edit: Thing is though. The theory isnt that stupid or pseudoscientific compared to something like Flat Earth for example. Even scientists take it somewhat seriously. But It's supporters are obnoxious. And it's most probably not true. But it's possible electricity might be more important in the structure of the universe than the standard model suppose.

to comment about a few of these: 3:08 is probably referring to the fourth hoo hoo seen in old fingerheads ship before he leaves at the end of galactic superheroes 2, though i dont know about a fifth hoo hoo 4:56 is referring to a pilot episode BEFORE ratboys kingdom 1 that is no longer on the ratboygenius channel, though you can still find it on youtube 7:47 is literally just bs, happy factory is referenced in lkj: nightmare and the interlude directly following it progresses the story in a major way. did we watch the same series? 8:17 fred doesnt recognize green monster and happyman in the happyman opera because its canonically a fictional retelling, which is stated directly IN the happyman opera. if you watch the intermissions. which apparently this iceberg creator considers noncanon 9:33 does the iceberg creator not know what "character development" is? lkjs personality changes over the series too, and there isnt an entry for that! anyways sorry for the wall of text just wanted to give my. many cents

sue didn't seduce bob, in the apologia ryan states that she didnt use her powers intentionally the galactic superheros 3d models were gonna be in starship genius but were scrapped because they looked off i guess the happyman opera takes place after starship genius btw, starship genius 14 is meant to set up the events for the opera they could die at the end of the opera, as ryan kinda(?) hints at it in the apologia i kinda doubt this though as they are acting in the opera the television pilot thing may be a reference to the fact that the happyman opera being intended to be sung on a real stage or something? if its not i have no idea what that could mean because its a web series he made because of a dream his girlfriend at the time had (who is actually the person baby is based on)

For "Sneezy Oxygen Color Changes," it is referring to a theory that Sneezy changes color from his red-green in space shown in SG 12 to the wierd brown shown everywhere else, which is not in space and has oxygen.

For the Sneezy oxygen color changes, I believe it's a theory that Sneezy's rusty yellow color comes from his body becoming oxygen, as he used to be a bright green and pink color while living in space as Buck Dodger.

Red Planet Apologia refers to a post of Ryan's blog of the same name. It was made years after the last Happyman episode (and years before Starship Genius) and has Ryan explain why he didn't finish the series. He also tells us the later episodes were supposed to show the backstory of the galactic superheroes, which were eventually shown in the finale of Starship Genius. Fred recognizing Green Monster and Happyman refers to the fact that they appeared to meet for the first time on the red planet, even though they met during the events of Starship Genius, which is a precursor to Happyman on the Red Planet. George lost his memory and Sue never met anyone but Bob so Fred was the only galactic superhero that should have recognized them. That being said, the Happyman opera is not canon, but a play produced by Kingdom Studios. Ryan conformed the events aren't an accurate portrayal of what happened. The intermissions being non-canon isn't completely true because in Ratboy dreams Minecraft, Old Froggy mentions to Summer Solstice Baby during her escape that Happyman gave up his factory to distract Little King John. There might be more instances where the events of intermissions are explicitly mentioned in the main episodes, however.
