I didn't necessarily have a problem with the new povs I just felt like by book 3 Vaelin was such a weak character for me

The new characters were excellent. Anthony Ryan is so talented in how he fleshes out characters. it’s just that the shift of focus from one POV to several was a bit daunting for me. I also hated that he became weak. By the last book, Frentis had become my favourite character.

Book 1 was awesome. Each book after though dropped off quite a bit. Book 3 was pretty weak.
