All we see of him is sociopathy, but there are enough clues to suggest his sexuality: perhaps that is why the Mother and the Rawson family in general seem so permissive, not religiously scandalized, by this topic, in contrast to the Priestleys and other family members.....very well scripted and presented...since the Production is about Anne Listers diaries, theses scenes are completely fabricated, but included for very important reasons, open to interpretation...very well done SW.
