The Raybeats were a classic Surf-Rock instrumental band in the 1980s, in the style of The Ventures and The Challengers of the 1960s. They were from New York City, of all places, and were a lot of fun to watch perform live, and faced some fierce competition from the other great Surf-Rock band of the '80s, Jon & The Nightriders, featuring John Blair. Here's a sampling of their classic Surf-Rock repertoire, from their first album "Guitar Beat" in 1981.
