Honestly Razer listened to the community and feedback and fix EVERYTHING that was wrong with the original. I have never seen Razer this compasionate about their other products, this is kind of impressive. Only thing holding most people would be the price point, but imo being the only 120hz phone does carry its own weight if you like to scroll through different feeds for over an hour often.

This phone still holds up and has good community support. And if you have the technical know how, you can mod it no problem, I removed the charge coil and RGB from mine and put in a triple battery and an active cooler with a power switch and a 3.15ghz CPU OC and a 925mhz gpu OC, updated the OS to lineage 21 (android 14) and installed a SD845 GPU drivers.. With all that, I can run Skyrim on this phone without issues at all.. cannot do 4k 60fps by any stretch but you can get better than you can with Nintendo switch for sure.

I bought the of Razer phone. I love it but do not use it for gaming. Instead I use it for youtube and very little gaming. What more drew me in was the battery and the sound quality of the speakers. I believe there is a market for the new one and is a huge upgrade due to the waterproofing alone( this is importaint to me cause I work outside a lot). It's a amazing phone and like it over my s7 in which I replace with the Razer phone. The software updates are on the slow side compared to the flagship devices but, when they come out it fixes a lot of issues. One of which was my bluetooth would not connect to my vehicle after the initial pairing. It cam down to a software issue in my research and so I decided to just live with it. When a update came out a couple months ago quietly fixing this ( was not in the patch notes) it made this phone become one of the favorite phones I've owned so far. Hope this helps others that are thinking of buy or looking at Razer phones in the future.

The specs are good but not all that crazy? Snapdragon 845 Qualcomm's flagship processor, there isn't a faster Qualcomm chip out right now. How many other phones have 8gb of ram? How many have a 4,000 mah battery? How are these merely average specs when compared to pixel 3, s9, Iphone xs, lg v40, etc? The Razer phone has more impressive specs than all of them! The only flagship phone thats comparable might be the $1250 note 9, of which the cheaper model ($1000) has been dubbed the greatest smartphone ever by almost every tech reviewer

As a proud Razer phone owner I will tell you that the 120 Hz refresh rate is well worth the price. Only downside is that the native support for transferring files to and from an SD card is a bit lax but can be got around with a third party file manager app

4:09 umm... yes it is. water proofing speakers is really simple, most speaker designs are semi water proof as it is. all you have to do is use a rubber surround instead of a foam surround and a lot of speakers already do that. and make sure you're not using a bare paper cone, which any speaker that's worth damn will not have anyways.

Actually I am very happy with my Galaxy S9 Plus it really does play every game so smooth and it has a way higher resolution of 1440p compare to Razor phone 2 which only goes up to 1080p the only difference is the refresh rate goes up to 120 hertz unlike Galaxy S9 Plus supposingly it has a flexible Quad HD Super AMOLED display and I have done research about it many times supposingly it's much higher than 60 hertz supposingly around between 60 to 90 Hertz which makes sense why every game I play the frame rate is just so damn smooth it does not drop😍👍

I would rather have a slight non-glass bezel than a screen to all corners. If the razer phone gets a corner impact, you don't have to worry about the screen shattering. I agree that it can be slimmer than it is, like 2/3rds or half the current size. But I think having a non-glass "forehead" and "chin" on a phone is the way to go.

A gaming phone without a headphone jack just doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially considering that one would usually use a pair of headphones designed for gaming (or even just a regular pair) if they didn't want to bother other people or didn't want to hear distracting sounds and noises. I'm hoping that in the final model they do add it, because it would be disappointing to see them follow the no jack trend a second time, especially with a phone that has a lot of potential.

The only and significant enough difference between the Razer Phone 2 and a Note 9 for example is the120hz screen and the speakers, but from what I have tested, the Note 9 has awesome speakers, there's no need for much more, but the 120hz display is totally awesome, if Samsung were to be capable of making a 90/120hz AMOLED display happen in the S10 for example, it would destroy the razer phone in every category except for speakers... And the RGB lighting :)

IDK what you're talking about with the camera on the OG Razer Phone being bad... I have one and the pictures are great AND does video in 4k

I think the ROG phone will be a better buy simply because of accessories. That controller you insert the phone into makes it so much more usable than standard touch screen implementation.

What most are missing ist the 120 hz Display. It's so much different that this alone is a strong buy. You have to see in real life to get a impression. I wonder why apple has not integrated it in the iPhone xs.

I absolutely love Razer gear, I just wish that I could get my hands on one of these phones. Probably will never happen because I could never afford anything as expensive as that. 😢
