When companies market their phones as "Gaming phones", there are some things I expect to be their. The list goes as follows: 1. A headphone jack. 2. Front firing speakers. 3. SD card support. 4. High refresh rate and resolution screen. 5. I don't know what they are called, but the triggers on the top of the ROG phone. Those are so useful. 6. RGB!!! I do not personally own a gaming phone. I currently own an ASUS ZenFone 3 max 5.2. I have been looking to upgrade, and have thought of the new Razer phone. I don't know if I am going to get it though. To own something like that, you must first have cash 💵. Anyways, this was a great review. I will be recommending this video to my friends. Great job Barry!

Got mine since late December and I'm totally on your side. Had the Razer Phone V1 last year and now the V2. All you said I can confirm and now many colleagues and friends ask what cool phone that is because of that notification light on the back. Such an eyecatcher. I love the V2 it just runs perfect. And you can improve your camera-quality by using the modified Pixel 3 camera app you can find on XDA. The app works wonders, since the Razer Phone uses the same sensor as the Pixel 3.

I would love an adapter that fits on the bottom of the Razer Phone 2 that plugs into the USB C port and has another USB C in the same spot and a headphone jack on the side. Granted, the headphone jack would have to be sideways and the phone would be just a touch longer but it would be worth it. Edit: I don't actually own a Razer Phone 2 so I don't know if there are any important components on the bottom such as air vents, but the idea sounded really nice.

I'd love to get this phone but the Google Pixel phones are just too good. One of the best, if not THE best Android phone line. -Quality camera -Great build quality -Stereo speakers -Rear facing fingerprint sensor If I was to get a gaming phone, I would maybe get the Asus ROG phone, as I heard the camera on that is pretty good, however, I own the Pixel 2, so that might take me some time to convince me to drop tons of cash on a new phone.

The lighting option was one of the main reasons I used Whatsapp+ back in the day. Because it let me choose different notification lights for different chats, which was very helpful, as I VEEEEEERY rarely gave my notification sounds turned on

1:05 same here, feels substantial, like you said. Feather phones are just weird and I always baby it. My current phone (an S9+) is not exactly hefty, but it has some weight to it. Also feels nicer in my hand, for some reason. Got a case on it though. I don't trust glass backs. Spigen on yours? Heh, same for mine. They make good slim stuff. 1:42 yup, which is why I like my notification LED. 4:33 oh shut up. If you don't like it don't buy it. Those speakers and design are a huge selling point and one of the reasons I considered this phone in the first place. I don't cup my S9+ because the earpiece works as a stereo speaker so it's not necessary. Also, can we get an F for the Razor headphone jack? 6:05 I miss tap to wake on my S9+, but it's not that big a deal as putting my finger on the fingerprint sensor unlocks instantly anyway. 7:00 *laughs in AT&T preloaded apps* 8:12 most people (at least where I am) have it always on silent. Damn, you hit that pun at the end and I was NOT expecting it. Should've known...

I would've wanted to buy the Razer Phone 2, but I settled with the OnePlus 6T. That said, don't take this as me trying to convince you to get a 6T. This is just me making a comparison to my personal phone compared to yours. Similarities between the 6T and Razer Phone: The Snapdragon 845/Adreno 630 and 8 GB of RAM combo (though the cheapest option 6T has 6 GB) Glass back Not having a headphone jack (lol why did you convince other phone manufacturers this was okay, Apple?) Water resistance (note that the 6T isn't officially water resistant but a KZbinr by the name of Matthew Moniz tested the water resistance of it anyways and it seems to hold up fine. Here's the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4WUaKScg7aghrc&vl=en) Similarly fast charging Differences between the Razer Phone 2 and 6T: The screen (the 6T has to make do with a lowly, peasant grade 1080p 60Hz screen, though the screen is a much better AMOLED display than the LCD the Razer Phone 2 has, and the 6T has a 6.4 inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen with a notch vs the Razer Phone 2's 5.7 inch 16:9 screen screen) 6T having a mute switch No wireless charging for the 6T (even though it is a glass back phone, it doesn't have wireless charging capabilities, which isn't a huge deal because I prefer wired charging) The speakers (or in the case of the 6T, the single speaker. It just cannot compete with the Razer Phone 2's speakers in audio quality, though it does get reasonably loud, but the main problem the single speaker has is that it's bottom firing. And also, there are 2 speaker grills near the charging port, yet only one has the actual speaker and the fake grill is for aesthetics, probably, or maybe weight reduction equivalent to 0.0001 ounces) The fingerprint sensor (the 6T definitely wins here in terms of placement, as it is one of the only phones in the U.S. as of 2019 with an under screen fingerprint sensor. This sensor has been incredibly convenient since most phones have a rear scanner and therefore require having to lift the phone to get to it. Small things, sure, but convenient nonetheless. However, it really doesn't perform as well as traditional fingerprint sensors, as it sometimes doesn't read my thumb correctly, but I can handle it, and to be fair, this is just first generation technology, whcih will definitely improve in the coming years) The price ($549 for the cheapest option 6T vs $800 for the Razer Phone 2, though as of February 9, 2019, it's on sale for $649, which is just $20 more than the most expensive option 6T which has a colossal 256 GB of storage) Storage (and speaking of storage, the 6T doesn't have upgradable storage, though the 6T has had the largest amount of storage I've had at 128 GB, compared to my last phone's measly 16 GB.) The bottom line is that the 6T really doesn't lose much compared to the Razer Phone 2, but I bought the 6T mainly because of its attractive price point. Again, I'm just making a comparison, don't take this as me trying to "flex" on you or trying to get you to buy another phone.
